[LLVMdev] Performance regression on ARM
> Chandler’s complex arithmetic changes are also in the range: r219557 in clang. We saw it change the code in mandel-2 significantly. mandel-2 is broken on hard FP ABI systems, btw. The reason is simply: we're emitting a call to __muldc3 with AAPCS VFP calling convention, however, the function expects softfp (AAPCS) calling conv and reads garbage from GP registers. I'm working on fix.

[LLVMdev] Failures on clang-mergefunc-x86_64-freeBSD9.2
Hi all, We have 4 outstanding tests on clang-mergefunc-x86_64-freeBSD9.2 builder. I have introduced issues for them in bugzilla: http://llvm.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=18089 http://llvm.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=18056 Since we have opened issues for these tests, can we add them to ignore-list for this builder? It allows faster catch and fix other failures (if we get them). I also wandering, may be

Tukey's one degree of freedom for nonadditivity?
Is there code available to decompose interactions involving at least one nominal factor with more than 2 levels as described, e.g., by Tukey or by Mandel (1971, Technometrics, 13: 1-18)? Tukey's model: E(y[i,j]) = mu0 + a[i] + b[j] + c*a[i]*b[j], estimating a, b, and c so sum(a) = sum(b)= 0. Mandel essentially describes a singular value decomposition of the interaction. Thanks,

Problems using allEffects() (package effect)
Dear R users, I have some trouble using the allEffects() function to compute and display effect plots for a linear model. My data is quite simple, it concerns effects of 3 treatments on the tumoral volume of mice. vTum codes for the qualitative initial volume, from small to big, temps is the time in month since beginning of treatment, and S?rie codes for the batch. Data is unbalanced. >

Unable to import zpool since system hang during zfs destroy
Hi all, I have a RAID-Z zpool made up of 4 x SATA drives running on Nexenta 1.0.1 (OpenSolaris b85 kernel). It has on it some ZFS filesystems and few volumes that are shared to various windows boxes over iSCSI. On one particular iSCSI volume, I discovered that I had mistakenly deleted some files from the FAT32 partition that is on it. The files were still in a ZFS snapshot that was made earlier

ON 20060327 and upcoming solaris 10 U2 / coreutils
So, I noticed that a lot of the fixes discussed here recently, including the ZFS/NFS interaction bug fixes and the deadlock fix has made it into 20060327 that was released this morning. My question is whether we''ll see all these up to the minute bug fixes in the Solaris 10 update that brings ZFS to that product, or if there is a specific date where no further updates will make it in to

Configuring svc:/system/xvm/domains?
I''m running Xen on Nexenta Core, and I haven''t yet figured out how to control which DomU''s are started with svcadm enable svc:/system/xvm/domains:default. virsh doesn''t seem to be available with Nexenta Core, so I''d rather edit the configuration files by hand. However, I''ve found neither OpenSolaris or Nexenta documentation on how this is

arcstat updates
Hi ZFSers, I''ve been working on merging the Joyent arcstat enhancements with some of my own and am now to the point where it is time to broaden the requirements gathering. The result is to be merged into the illumos tree. arcstat is a perl script to show the value of ARC kstats as they change over time. This is similar to the ideas behind mpstat, iostat, vmstat, and friends. The current

cross platform (freebsd) zfs pool replication
Hi, I have two servers running: freebsd with a zpool v28 and a nexenta (opensolaris b134) running zpool v26. Replication (with zfs send/receive) from the nexenta box to the freebsd works fine, but I have a problem accessing my replicated volume. When I''m typing and autocomplete with tab key the command cd /remotepool/us (for /remotepool/users) I get a panic. check the panic @

NexentaStor 3.0.3 vs OpenSolaris - Patches more up to date?
I see in NexentaStor''s announcement of Community Edition 3.0.3 they mention some backported patches in this release. Aside from their management features / UI what is the core OS difference if we move to Nexenta from OpenSolaris b134? These DeDup bugs are my main frustration - if a staff member does a rm * in a directory with dedup you can take down the whole storage server - all with

pv-grub Solaris support
Hello all, I''ve patched pv-grub to allow it to boot a Solaris PV domU using an unmodified menu.lst. The attached patch has been tested with various Solaris versions (Solaris 11 Express, OpenIndiana 151a, OpenSolaris 134, Nexenta Core 3.0.1; all 64-bit). I appreciate your feedback. The patch consists mainly of Oracle''s grub modifications, which add ZFS support and

Adjusted means and generalized chain block designs
Dear Colleagues, John Mandel ( Chain block designs with two-way elimination of heterogeneity. Biometrics 10, 251-272 ,1954). extended the class of chain block designs (Youden & Conner (1953) to elimination of both row and column (blocks) effects. These experimental designs can be useful in engineering and other fields. I am having difficulty obtaining his adjusted treatment means in his

[LLVMdev] Performance regression on ARM
Hi Chandler, That's embarrassing how weird this part of clang is. I have a provisional patch which fixes the problem but underlines clang's problems. I will submit it tonight for comments. суббота, 18 октября 2014 г. пользователь Chandler Carruth написал: > > On Fri, Oct 17, 2014 at 7:51 AM, Anton Korobeynikov < > anton at korobeynikov.info >

making network configuration sticky in nexenta core/napp-it
Sorry for an off-topic question, but anyone knows how to make network configuration (done with ifconfig/route add) sticky in nexenta core/napp-it? After reboot system reverts to 0.0.0.0 and doesn''t listen to /etc/defaultrouter Thanks.

ZFS + Dell MD1200's - MD3200 necessary?
We are looking at building a storage platform based on Dell HW + ZFS (likely Nexenta). Going Dell because they can provide solid HW support globally. Are any of you using the MD1200 JBOD with head units *without* an MD3200 in front? We are being told that the MD1200''s won''t "daisy chain" unless the MD3200 is involved. We would be looking to use some sort of

Nexenta: "load_mib2nut: using pw mib" package / config / or firewall problem?
G'day I'm currently using NUT on Debian squeeze box in the same subnet with an IBM 3000 HV (branded Eaton 5125 with Web/SNMP card), now I wanted to get our storage appliance running NexentaStor 3.1 set up to be using NUT too. Nexenta- Stor is an OpenSolaris / illumos-based appliance OS currently using NUT packages from ubuntu hardy. My question here is whether I'm running into a -

[LLVMdev] Performance regression on ARM
Folks, First win of the benchmark buildbot! http://llvm.org/perf/db_default/v4/nts/graph?plot.0=49.128.2&highlight_run=31861 It seems mandel-2 had a huge regression a few commits ago, and based on a quick look, it may have to do with the inst combine changes. I haven't investigated yet, but this is the first time I spot regressions on test-suite, so I'd like to first congratulate

Kernel panic on ZFS import - how do I recover?
I posted this on the www.nexentastor.org forums, but no answer so far, so I apologize if you are seeing this twice. I am also engaged with nexenta support, but was hoping to get some additional insights here. I am running nexenta 3.0.3 community edition, based on 134. The box crashed yesterday, and goes into a reboot loop (kernel panic) when trying to import my data pool, screenshot attached.

Damm Small Solaris
Hi, for what it''s worth: There''s now a new Live CD for Solaris called Damm Small Solaris: http://www.sunhelp.ru/archives/179-Damn_Small_Solaris_0.1.1_English_Page.html In contrast to Belenix this Live CD works in Qemu - even without kqemu load the performance is not so bad. One important missing are the network driver for the network adapter emulated by Qemu. But they
