[LLVMdev] 2.1 Pre-Release Available (testers needed)
LLVMers, The 2.1 pre-release (version 1) is available for testing: http://llvm.org/prereleases/2.1/version1/ I'm looking for members of the LLVM community to test the 2.1 release. There are 2 ways you can help: 1) Download llvm-2.1, llvm-test-2.1, and the appropriate llvm-gcc4.0 binary. Run "make check" and the full llvm-test suite (make TEST=nightly report). 2) Download

[LLVMdev] Beginner question: request guidance on how to trace 'make check' failure in SVN build
Greetings everybody, I'm at beginner level with LLVM and tried to build the sources from SVN revision 54920 on Fedora 9 (kernel 2.6.25-14.fc9.x86_64) running on Intel Q6600 @ 2.40GHz processor. LLVM build using 'make -j 4' was successful. However, during 'make check', a test case failed. The relevant snippets appear below. Can someone please point me to any links on how the

[LLVMdev] QMTest vs. Dejagnu
I've finished adding the -rundejagnu option to the nightly tester script, which was the last step to fully support Dejagnu. I think now is the appropriate time to discuss keeping QMTest or switching to Dejagnu. A lot of work went into using QMTest, so I think we should make this decision carefully and before the 1.4 release. Here are the pros and cons in my eyes, please feel free to add your

More bison woes. llvm-2.1 + the patch Chris mentioned builds without bison, but llvm-gcc4 doesn't: /home/emil/ll/llvm-gcc4.0-2.1.source/missing bison -d -o gengtype-yacc.c ../../llvm-gcc4.0-2.1.source/gcc/gengtype-yacc.y WARNING: `bison' missing on your system. [LLVMdev] llvm/test: suffix or operands invalid for `push'
Hi all again, llvm is failing the 2006-11-30-NoCompileUnit and 2006-11-30-Pubnames tests on me. -m32 and --disable-multilib didn't change the outcome. Did I get the command wrong? I tried jo at kurier:~/Delta/llvm/test$ CFLAGS=--multilib make check See below for a transcript of the failed check. What next? Regards, Jo -- snip -- jo at kurier:~/Delta/llvm/test$ make check llvm[0]:

GCC compilation is broken when Java support is enabled. I can file a detailed bug report

LLVM-GCC 4.0 fails on Cygwin, possibly due to lack of symbolic links. Configuring in i686-pc-cygwin/libstdc++-v3 configure: creating cache ./config.cache checking build system type... i686-pc-cygwin checking host system type... i686-pc-cygwin checking target system type... i686-pc-cygwin checking for a BSD-compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c checking whether build environment is sane... yes

Tanya, I have done make check and nightly report tests on LLVM on the GCC 4.2.0 release, on Linux x86 32 bit. On make check the bit intrinsics test is still failing but it works from the command line, strange ? What files do you want from the nightly report, as I am not familiar with it ? I will be doing Cygwin tests next. Aaron ----- Original Message ----- From: "Tanya M.
