[LLVMdev] Web Server Going Down
The web server is back up!
I apologize for the short notice. We appear to have fixed the problem
(thanks Anton!).
In the future, we will try to provide at least 30 minutes notice (min, but
usually more) when shutting down the server. This was a special case
because of some subversion tasks did not get taken care of.
Thanks for understanding,

[LLVMdev] llvm.org Downtime on Tuesday, March 8
Dear All,
The LLVM network services (llvm.org web site, SVN server, etc.) will be
offline starting at 10:30 am Central Time on Tuesday, March 8. We are
moving the machine hosting these services to the server room where it
will be a dedicated server machine from Tuesday henceforth.
I expect the move will take less than 15 minutes. I will email the list
about an hour before the move as a

Thanks.

[LLVMdev] LLVM Server Back Up
John,
The rsyncd doesn't seem to be up. See the attached email. The mirror
tries to sync every 30 minutes and this is what I'm getting from the
cron job. This was from the sync attempted at 2:12pm (PDT) today.

[LLVMdev] REMINDER: llvm.org is going down in 15 minutes
Just a reminder that llvm.org will be rebooted in 15 minutes, and will be down for about 30 minutes or less. It will be rebooted a couple times so you might see it come up and go back down, but do not get alarmed.
Thanks,
Tanya

Looks like some clocks are wrong, as shown by the timestamp
on <http://lists.cs.uiuc.edu/pipermail/llvmdev/2008-April/

[LLVMdev] LLVM Server Back Up
FYI, the mailing lists are handled by separate UIUC servers and are
not hosted by the llvm server. All web, svn, etc are on the llvm server.
John - Can you find out why the mailing list archives have incorrect
time stamps?

[LLVMdev] Web Server Restart
Dear LLVMers,
I'll be restarting the LLVM web server in about 15 minutes (3:30 pm
Central Time). It's a small web server configuration change, so it'll
be a quick restart. For paranoia's sake, please refrain from doing SVN
commits starting at 3:30.
I'll email once the web server is back online.

I'm pretty sure it was my laptop. The time was correct: 11:28. The
problem was that I sent it at 11:28 am and not

[LLVMdev] LLVM Web/SVN Server Downtime
Dear All,
The llvm.org server will be down for about 15 minutes starting at 10 am
CST on Friday. Our IT people will be replacing a bad RAM module.
If there's any serious problem with doing the RAM replacement at 10 am,
please email llvmdev. I picked 10 am because I'd like the RAM module
replaced ASAP, and I doubt 10 am tomorrow will be a problem.

Also, I managed to set things up so that you can use svn diff and svn up
but not svn commit (I basically disabled commit access for everyone for
the time being).

[LLVMdev] Server Restart: Adding New Certificate
Dear All,
Some of you may have noticed that our SSL certificate expired about half
an hour ago. We have a new SSL certificate, but we haven't had time to
install it.
I am going to attempt to install the new certificate. This will
necessitate one server restart if I am successful and probably two if
I'm not.
Chances are that you will not notice any disruption, but if you're the

[LLVMdev] Potential Downtime of LLVM Server on Jan. 6
Dear All,
Just a reminder that some work on our heating/cooling system will be
done tomorrow between 8 am - noon Central time. If server room
temperatures get too high, the IT staff will start shutting machines down.
Since the LLVM server may need to be shut down on short notice, I can't
guarantee that we can give you advance warning of it going offline. I
strongly urge everyone to
