If llvm is build with srcdir != objdir, building gcc will fail with ../../llvm-gcc4-1.7.source/gcc/llvm-internal.h:36:36: error: llvm/Support/DataTypes.h: No such file or directory This happens because DataTypes.h is a generated header. Adding -I$(LLVMOBJDIR)/include to INCLUDES in Makefile.in:878 solves the problem. One more thing, is the modified GCC available in some svn or cvs repository?

Hello, The attached patch adds the jcheck target equivalent to make check, but that can run with a -j flag ($ make jcheck -jX). It does not interfere with the regular check, but rather builds on top of the check-one target: it first generates a list of tests to run using RunLLVMTests, and then run those tests according to the supplied -j flag, invoking the check-one target for each one of them.

As I notice, if the llvm "tools-only " was build with srcdir != objdir , the building of llvm-gcc4-1.7.source encountered mistakes of unable to find some header files. Hi all, I'm having problems compiling LLVM 3.2 with RTTI enabled. Since my code makes heavy use of the Boost libraries, RTTI is a must. Hi! I'm installing LLVM under Debian Linux. I've installed llvm-gcc3 binaries and am trying to build LLVM. I run make command from llvmobjdir and it builds Release configuration. I didn't set ENABLE_OPTIMIZED variable to 1 and I didn't configure LLVM with --enable-optimized switch. What can cause building Release configuration and how can I switch to Debug one? Thanks. Tony.
