Hi Thanks for the info, it led to the source of the error I was having. I was using llvm-gcc binaries (built with mingw I guess) to compile a .c file that is my language runtime, llvm-link'ing that with my frontend's .ll, and using an vcpp-built lli to run the resulting bytecode. This caused the special case in X86RegisterInfo::emitPrologue for "main" to try to align the stack

The alloca hook is in lib\System\Win32\DynamicLibrary.inc all the way at the bottom. You'll see a __MING32__ #ifdef around the definition. You just have to implement those methods and it'll work just fine. Cygwin is handled separately, because it's really more unix-like, that e.g. mingw32. Even more, it uses "unix" variant of libSystem. Hi When using lli on Win32 (vs.net-built), on any non-trivial code, I get the following abort ERROR: Program used external function '_alloca' which could not be resolved! Checking the assembly from llc, the first alloca call is to allocate local vars in _main. Is this just the state of the code at 2.0 when built with vs.net, or is there something that I've managed to mis-build

I agree that making the execution of .bc files more transparent would make it more useable as a stand-alone binary format on Unix-like systems and adding programmable support to changing the #! line would prevent much of user error involved in modifying the run

Problems when using libFLAC to encode 24 bit content
Hi everybody, We have FLAC supported for input/output in REAPER (http://www.reaper.fm), and the problem is that when writing 24 bit FLAC files, the data isn't compressed (i.e. the FLAC is slightly larger than if it was writing to .WAV). The files play back fine, however, and 16 bit mode works great. We're using flac-1.1.2, built on win32 with MSVC6 w/ SP5 + VCPP, and NASM version 0.98.39

We tested on 3.4.2 and 3.5.1. Later versions are slightly problematic to test since they don't compile with VS2010. Do you happen to know if it's fixed in one of the released versions, or if there is a workaround (chkstk?) or a bug report online? Thanks! [LLVMdev] lli/JIT missing libgcc symbols on Mingw32/x86
Hello, I have a bytecode doing 64 bits division and on Mingw32/x86, lli complains it cannot resolve __udivdi3 when running it. Those symbols are all part of libgcc and all present in lli, but they cannot be found by SearchForAddressOfSymbol (not in any DLL). To workaround that, I explicitely define them in Win32/DynamicLibrary.inc if the current target is Mingw32 (patch attached). Anybody had

Hi All, we have an issue with our LLVM-based JIT compiler - executing the compiled code corrupts memory (and subsequently crashes) if we alloca more than 4k of variables (more than 511 8-byte ints). The same code works on Windows 7 (32 and 64 bit), Linux, MacOS. We compile LLVM and our program with Microsoft's Visual Studio 2010. Both debug and release builds are affected. The variables
