[LLVMdev] question about PRE
Hi, I am Jill, I'm new here and new with llvm. I find that its old
PRE.cpp has been removed from llvm-1.9 and the project homepage says
that a GVN-PRE pass is being implemented.
Since many PRE algorithms have been suggested, and I think PRE further
differs according to the specific defination of equivalence, whether
it is an "optimal" algorithm and optimal at what metric, etc, can I

[LLVMdev] Regarding PRE in LLVM
hi,
While surfing on net I found that LLVM is using sparse version of
E-path_PRE approach in file PRE.cpp but I could not get what actually code
is doing and I could not find the name of the developer in the file.
Just want to know to because I could not able to find any
paper on sparse version of this algorithm.
Thanks in Advance

I implemented GVN-PRE for GCC. You could probably do an implementation
for LLVM in three months,

Call for Papers: ManLang 2018 (Sept. 10-14, Linz, Austria)
Dear Person That Posted This Email,
Please be aware that calls for papers are only on-topic for this email
list if they are specifically about LLVM. For example, a call for a
workshop on LLVM in Scientific Computing would be on topic whereas a
general compiler call for papers (like the one below) is not.
That said, I hope you receive many strong submissions. Your conference

Missing TMP folder - Dovecot 1.2 Beta3
Recently after upgrading to 1.2 Beta3 from 1.1.13, I started to defer
mail. After looking into it deeper, it looks like Dovecot/sieve now asks
for a tmp folder in the imap (maildir) folder. Once I added the tmp
folder as the logs indicants, the mail was processed normally.
I have split my Inbox and imap store to different folder. Looking at
what it's trying to do, it looks to me that

Use of hosking.sim R function
Dear all:
My experience in using hosking.sim to generate random time series is
that it requires an n-length autocorrelation function (ACF; order 0 to
n-1) to generate n-length random vectors. I have attempted to utilize
shorter than n-length (i.e. truncated) ACF's with hosking.sim to
generate n-length random vectors, but the function will not operate for
n-length time series without the

I have a number directories under /opt on computer jack. I want some (not all)
of them to appear in /opt on computer jill.
I have the /opt directory on jack mounted on jill under /mnt/jack
If I go into the /opt directory on jill and do this:
ln -s /mnt/jack/opt/files .
I get /opt/files/files on jill. What I want is /opt/files and I can't see what
I'm doing wrong.

hello,
Suppose I have a table that looks like this:

I would like the output to look like this:

when i using cold fusion, this was easy via a tag called cfoutput.

Re : paste first row string onto every string in column
Try this , save your data in C:/
and write this
(data <- read.csv2("c:/jill.csv", sep=","))
(C<-data[1,])
A <- numeric(4)
B <- numeric(4)
for (i in 1 :4){
A[i] <- paste(data[1,i],data[2,i])
B[i] <- paste(data[1,i],data[3,i])
}
A
B
(data1 <- rbind(as.character(A),as.character(B)))
(data2 <- rbind(C,data1))
normaly that gives that

Mapping SID>UID (and reverse)
Hi
I have a new Samba 3.6.10 server running on Solaris 10.
The server is a member of the local Active Directory (which I'll call "DOMAIN" in this email). Unix username resolution is via NIS. All domain users have NIS usernames as well.Winbind is running to allow SMBD to perform sid>uid mapping and I have setup idmap_nss. I am not using winbind in /etc/nsswitch.conf as NIS

Preview Samba-3 by Example book
Hi All,
I know there has been a lot of interest in John Terpstra's upcoming book,
"Samba-3 by Example: Practical Exercises to Successful Deployment." The book
is scheduled to print end of March and can be found at local bookstores by
early April.
In the meantime, John will be giving a talk at the BYU UNIX User's Group

Installing packages
Hello,
I have upgraded from Mandrake Linux 8.0 to Mandrake 8.1 and try to reinstall
my favourite R... Everything is OK for the base software but I have trouble
to get some packages installed.
Specifically, for some packages, a "collect2" binary seems to be necessary
during the compilation/linking process of the library, and LD complains about
not finding it :

Hello list
The Samba Howto Collection repeatedly asserts that by setting the sticky
bit on directories any files created in those directories will be created
with the owner set to that of the directory (for example, see
http://samba.mirror.ac.uk/samba/docs/man/howto/AccessControls.html#id2541262).
This has never worked for me. Files created inherit the group of the
directory, but not the owner.

reducing RODBC odbcQuery memory use?
1. Can I avoid having RODBC use so much memory (35 times the data size or more) making a data.frame & then .rda file via. sqlQuery/save?
2. If not, is there some more appropriate way from w/in R to pull large data sets (2-5GB) into .rda files from sql?

how to have 'match' ignore no-matches
Hi all,
I think this is a very basic question, but I'm new to this so please bear
with me.
I'm using match to translate elements of a data frame using a lookup table.
If the content of a particular cell is not found in the lookup table, the
function returns NA. I'm wondering how I can just ignore those cells, and
return the original contents if no match is found in the lookup table.
