[LLVMdev] Short Disruption of LLVM Service on April 24
Dear LLVMers, Tomorrow morning, on Tuesday, April 24, at 10:00 am CDT, I will be rebooting the server that hosts most of the LLVM services. The LLVM website and CVS server will be down for approximately 15 minutes. The server's console has stopped responding and my attempts to fix it by restarting the X server and other various processes have failed. I think the video hardware is just

[LLVMdev] CVS Services Restored
Dear All, I discovered a problem with our CVS server this morning. For some reason, the machine wasn't responding to network requests. I rebooted the machine and it appears to be working fine now, so if you couldn't use the LLVM website or CVS server before, you should be able to now. -- John T. -- ********************************************************************* * John T.

[LLVMdev] Potential LLVM Service Outages
Dear LLVMers, The LLVM mailing lists, CVS server, and web server will be unavailable on Thursday, December 28, from 7:30am to 8:15 am, Central Time. This is because the CS department IT group (TSG) will be restarting two switches during that time. Services should resume at 8:15. I don't know if the mailing lists will be queuing mail, so if you can, avoid sending mail to the lists during

I've fixed a minor problem with the OS upgrade, and CVS services seem to be working again. You should be able to checkout and make commits (provided you have commit access, of course) using the LLVM CVS repositories.

We use CVS but we've had to write several thousand lines of Perl to make it useful to us (through revisions, branching, testing, and integration). Mercifully, we're planning on going to another system. In short, CVS doesn't scale well. It also doesn't having good branching capabilities
