[LLVMdev] llvmdev mailing list downtime
Dear list members, On Monday, October 30, at 11 am Central Time, the llvmdev mailing list will be offline for some testing. The testing should last about 15-20 minutes and will hopefully shed some light on why the mailing list is taking so long to deliver email to some people. I will send mail to the list when the testing begins and ends. During the tests, I will be disabling a few email

Samba 3 member, winbind caching and DC availability
Hello all, I've a box running Samba 3.5.6 (Debian Squeeze) that retrieves its user accounts from AD, using Winbind. The box is receiving incoming mail. Idmap backend is AD, with rfc2307 schema mode. Currently it's only accessing one AD DC, and the MTA on the Samba box is stopped whenever the DC is temporarily offline to prevent rejection of any incoming mail with "user unknown"

Samba 3.0.28a on Ubuntu LTS 8.01 and Vista sp1 offline files (now testing with Samba 3.2.7).
Hi All, We're really having problems with Offline Files/Folders and Vista sp1 laptops/desktops. We working with Microsoft just now to debug this as we're registered partners (for testing Samba/LDAP etc.). We now have a massive thread going in the private Vista 4-hr response support forums and we're on to log files debugging Vista side. We've cleared CSC etc. applied the

[LLVMdev] llvm.org Downtime on Tuesday, March 8
Dear All, The LLVM network services (llvm.org web site, SVN server, etc.) will be offline starting at 10:30 am Central Time on Tuesday, March 8. We are moving the machine hosting these services to the server room where it will be a dedicated server machine from Tuesday henceforth. I expect the move will take less than 15 minutes. I will email the list about an hour before the move as a

Microsoft Windows Offline Folders headaches
Once working they are great, but getting offline folders to re-synch can sometimes waste many tens of minutes. Right now I have a Windows 2000 laptop with a Samba server's existing public folder share set as offline within network hood on the laptop (\\Emerald\Public). The Windows laptop and the Samba server are in the same workgroup. Other Windows clients can browse to the Samba server, get

[LLVMdev] LLVM SVN Repository Offline for Maintenance Tomorrow
Dear LLVMers and Clangers, We'll be doing some maintenance on the LLVM repository on Tuesday, Sept. 14 (tomorrow). There were some files committed to the repository that we believe need to be removed from both mainline, the branches, and the revision history. The SVN repository will go *off-line* at 7:00 am Central Daylight Savings time on Tuesday. Please do not make any commits after

Offline Backup Error: Failed to open /usr/local/samba/private/netlogon_creds_cli.tdb
Hello, Below you will find a snippet from the output of running an offline backup. I'm specifically concerned with "Failed to open /usr/local/samba/private/netlogon_creds_cli.tdb". is this an issue or can it be safely ignored? I ask because the offline process appears to otherwise run without issue. Server is Ubuntu 22.04 with Samba 4.19.2 built from source. Starting

[PATCH 30/45] x86/xen: Use get/put_online_cpus_atomic() to prevent CPU offline
Once stop_machine() is gone from the CPU offline path, we won't be able to depend on disabling preemption to prevent CPUs from going offline from under us. Use the get/put_online_cpus_atomic() APIs to prevent CPUs from going offline, while invoking from atomic context.
