[LLVMdev] llvm for macho/x86 target
Hi Jackob, X86 / Darwin support is actively being worked on. It's very new which means you must check out the source from CVS and build your own binary. If you can live with the lack of vector support and the occasional bugs :-), I would urge you to do so and share us with your experience. floppy problems after DOS booting with dos.bss and syslinux 3.xx
Hello, I'm Rene living in Germany. I have a problem when I use syslinux versions greater than 3.xx for booting DOS (over dos.bss) and DSL-linux from a hard disk. (I've tried version 3.11 and the newest 3.36). The problem occurred after booting DOS - I can not access to the ordinary 3.5'-floppy drive (e.g. the command "dir a:" fails after a while). DOS not even notices

External port forwarding control mechanism
Hi, I'm looking for the best way to include an external decision mechanism into OpenSSH, which allows it to restrict port forwarding only to destination ports which are defined in a special external control file for the authenticated session. The authenticated ssh user should only be allowed to connect to this dedicated port to tunnel a VNC session through ssh. So the server side has to

Easy to Access Telephone Directory AGI
I've written myself a easy to use telephone directory which I use at home and thought it may be of interrest to others. The purpose of this agi script is to provide an online telephone directory that can be easily accessed using the numbers on the phone dial pad. You select entries by spelling out the name of the person you want to contact using the phone dial pad. Now this is normally

matching country name tables from different sources
Hi, Before I reinvent the wheel I wanted to kindly ask you for your opinion if there is a simple way to do it. I want to merge a larger number of tables from different data sources in R and the matching criterium are country names. The tables are of different size and sometimes the country names do differ slightly. Has anyone done this or any recommendation on what commands I

Heteroskedasticity in Tobit models
Hello, I've had no luck finding an R package that has the ability to estimate a Tobit model allowing for heteroskedasticity (multiplicative, for example). Am I missing something in survReg? Is there another package that I'm unaware of? Is there an add-on package that will test for heteroskedasticity? Thanks for your help. Cheers, Alan Spearot -- Alan Spearot Department of Economics

It is a very fascinating framework. Is there some research funding for LLVM development somewhere? Sadly there is not much for me todo with LLVM in my University here in Austria after my diploma thesis. Are there

This is primarily a bug-fix release, to follow the feature-focused 5.1 release. Snapshot releases for portable OpenSSH are available from http://www.mindrot.org/openssh_snap/ The OpenBSD version is available in CVS HEAD: http://www.openbsd.org/anoncvs.html Portable

lme model: Error in MEEM
Hi, We have data of two groups of subjects: 32 elderly, 14 young adults. for each subject we have 15 observations, each observation consisting of a reaction-time measure (RT) and an activation maesure (betadlpcv). since we want to analyze the influence of (age-)group and RT on the activation, we call: lme(betadlpcv ~ RT*group, data=our.data, random=~ RT |subject) this yields: Error in

xorriso or genisoimage syntax assistance
I got this figured out much faster than I thought I would. Thanks to all of your help, Peter, Mattias, Thomas and Helmut. And Thomas, that 8 partition live OS sounds right up my alley, and I will definitely check it out. The second partition is working well with `parted' and `fdisk', so I am quite pleased. Below is, again, "what I came up with". I tried to integrate each of your

Feature request FLAC
Dear all, I am an active FLAC user and like the program a lot! Thanks for your great work. Since I am not a developer I cannot modify the program on my own. Maybe you might be interested in features I would find useful. Maybe others find them interesting as well and you find the time to implement them. 1. Add encoder options: a) Skip silence (leading and ending) would give the option to skip

ownership of authorized_keys (different question)
that "ownership of authorized_keys" question remembered be of a problem we had end of last year. we have some accounts where the user places files to process in the home directory (by scp/sftp), a process running as a diffent user processes those files and puts the results back to the users homedir. the homedir belongs to the user and the other users group with rw access for the user
