[LLVMdev] GCC 3.4.1 and conflicting types for 'malloc' (2)
It seems that this happened before but I do not know the details:
http://llvm.cs.uiuc.edu/testresults/SparcV9/2004-12-07.html
Thanks

[LLVMdev] GCC 3.4.1 and conflicting types for 'malloc' (2)
Yes, sorry for not mentioning it. I added that header also
Although I suppose that if I am not using Sparc there will be no problem (it's an Itanium 2
machine)
Thanks

[LLVMdev] GCC 3.4.1 and conflicting types for 'malloc' (2)
I commented this line and it is compiling now:
extern void *malloc ARGS((unsigned));
I hope that will not cause a different kind of problem. What it is zalloc used for?
Thanks

[LLVMdev] GCC 3.4.1 and conflicting types for 'malloc'
Hi
I am trying to build the llvm tools following the instructions here:
http://llvm.cs.uiuc.edu/docs/CFEBuildInstrs.html
But I get this error:
/zalloc.c:9: error: conflicting types for 'malloc'
I am using gcc 3.4.1
What can be the problem?

[LLVMdev] reoptimizer note
Hello,
In preparation for the LLVM public release, I've moved the reoptimizer
out of the main cvs module "llvm" and into the cvs module "reopt". You
can go ahead and delete the lib/Reoptimizer directory from your tree,
about which cvs will undoubtedly be complaining to you.
If you want to build the reoptimizer, cd into your SPARC tree's
"projects"

[LLVMdev] Cygwin binaries
Hi Aaron,
Sorry for the delay. Please be aware, that these instructions has not been
used lately. However, I'll try to follow up on your questions.
Here are my instructions to compile the cfe:
5. Configure, build, and install the C front-end:
a. Before configure: export CPPFLAGS="-D__MINGW32__ "
?export LDFLAGS=-Wl,-no-keep-memory"

[LLVMdev] UPDATE: Makefile.rules Changes (IMPORTANT)
If you're on the new Makefile system, you will want to update your
Makefile.rules. The patch below provides some important fixes for
parallel builds and dependencies. It also adds some new features like
the -local targets. For example, you can now build "all-local" to build
the local directory without recursing into subdirectories.
See the comments below for details of the change.

[LLVMdev] Dejagnu Support Added
In an effort to simplify how tests are added to the LLVM testsuite, I've
added support for Dejagnu. This only applies to the Feature and Regression
tests. If this experiment goes well, we may switch from using QMTest to
Dejagnu.
I'm asking for people (especially those running nightly testers) to give
Dejagnu a try. You will need to install Dejagnu
(http://www.gnu.org/software/dejagnu/)

I found 179 more *.{c,cpp,h} files with tabs. Unfortunately, the tabs
stops used vary so blindly expanding them messes up alignment in many
cases :(

[LLVMdev] top of tree broken?
Hello hackers,
I seem to be having some trouble compiling the top of the llvm
CVS tree... Is someone working on something involving IPModRef.cpp
and the data structure graph? I have attached a make -k log.

Hi all,
I'm building the LLVM 2.0 pre-release on a brand new FreeBSD 6.2

I suspect the utils/TableGen/FileParser.h.cvs in the tarball may be
stale. I tried building LLVM without bison installed and got:

More bison woes. llvm-2.1 + the patch Chris mentioned builds without
bison, but llvm-gcc4 doesn't:
