Forget this, I've missed the 'LL'

Netmeeting i can't hear voice
Hi.
After a small war with "underfined sybol" error and conflicts between h323
and oh323 I successfully install h323 channel.
Now, I can connect from Netmeeting to SIP and ZAP channels, but I can't here
anything.
When I call at phone, and try to speak, on another end of line man said,
that my voice very low. Microphone volume is maximum...
Is there some parameters like rxgain,

Problem with numerical integration and optimization with BFGS
Hi R users,
I have a couple of questions about some problems that I am facing with
regard to numerical integration and optimization of likelihood
functions. Let me provide a little background information: I am trying
to do maximum likelihood estimation of an econometric model that I have
developed recently. I estimate the parameters of the model using the
monthly US unemployment rate series

[LLVMdev] UnitTests/2003-05-31-CastToBool.c
I think test/Programs/SingleSource/UnitTests/2003-05-31-CastToBool.c
has a problem. Consider:
void testLong(long long X) {
printf("%ld ", X);
testBool(X != 0);
}
This passes 'long long' value to 'ld' format specifier -- but for that
specifier the parameter should be 'long'. So, the behaviour of the above is
undefined and in fact it

darwin build with latest gcc from apple
we are trying to adapt the configure in order to work with latest
gcc3.3 (from apple) and g77 3.4 (from
http://gravity.psu.edu/~khanna/hpc.html )
At the moment there is no need to define the __DEBUGGING__ but there is
still a problem with the -lcc_dynamic
does any of you know how to check for this library and explain why we
see -lcc_dynamic often passed as an ld flag.
Where to find doc on

Volodya,
This program is in error. Either the format specifier needs to be %lld
or the argument value X needs to be casted to type long. This will
compile fine but it probably won't work at runtime because printf is
expecting a long, not a long long. I think your backend producing "wrong
results" is actually correct :)
Most modern C/C++ compilers will detect this for you at

[LLVMdev] [RFC] Benchmarking subset of the test suite
At the LLVM Developers' Meeting in November, I promised to work on isolating a subset of the current test suite that is useful for benchmarking. Having looked at this in more detail, most of the applications and benchmarks in the test suite are useful for benchmarking, and so I think that a better way of phrasing it is that we should construct a list of programs in the test suite that are not

[LLVMdev] Online docs missing?
Hi!
When I go to
http://llvm.cs.uiuc.edu/doxygen/annotated.html
and click on link for, say, "llvm::Module", I've told that the target page
does not exist. Same happens for llvm::Value, and in fact everything under
"llvm" namespace.
Any idea what's wrong?

[LLVMdev] "Best" alias analysis algorithm
Hello,
I'm playing with alias analysis, using the following program:
%i = external global int ; <int*> [#uses=2]
implementation ; Functions:
int %_Z3bari(int %p) {
entry:
%tmp.0 = load int* %i ; <int> [#uses=1]
%tmp.1 = setgt int %tmp.0, 10 ; <bool> [#uses=1]
br bool %tmp.1, label %then, label %UnifiedReturnBlock

[LLVMdev] Operand constraints
On my target, the multiplication can involve all general purpose registers,
but there's are still some restrictions: the first and the second operand as
well as the result must be in different registers, and neither register can
be gr7. How can I enforce this restriction on the register allocator?

Manuel,
After the discussion at last night, I have agreed that
GetTemporaryDirectory() on Win32 would do bad thing, thank you.
dir = GetTemporaryDirectory();
dir.eraseFromDisk(erase_contents = true);
dir = GetTemporaryDirectory(); /* It doesn't create anything on Win32
due to caching */
I suppose Manuel wants GetTemporaryDirectory() to keep semantics
similar mkdtemp(3).

[LLVMdev] Install fails due to missing 'pax' tool
Hello,
I've just tries make && make install on a fresh CVS tree, and get:
llvm[0]: Installing include files
/bin/sh: line 1: pax: command not found
Two questions.
1. Why install process requires some nonstandard tool? Is it possible to get
away without it.
2. autoconf/configure.ac has this:
AC_PATH_PROG(PAX, [pax], [pax])
but Makefile.rules uses plain 'pax',
