let's separate "what" and "how".
I do not speak abot "how" right now, because it is rather
a second step (if any).
I do believe that reflections without interpreter or JITing
can't be any powerfull.

[LLVMdev] ANTLR?
I've done extensive research on the subject and if you want to parse ALL of
C++, there are only two options, g++ or the Edison Design Group C++
front-end. Both of these have projects designed to make this easier LLVM
(as you know) and Rose (http://www.rosecompiler.org/), which works with the
EDG compiler. AspectC++, OpenC++, Antler, TLX, all work with only a portion
of the grammer.

[LLVMdev] ANTLR?
We are looking for an open source C++ parser other than g++ if
possible. Clang would be great but its C++ support is still some way
away and we need something that works or nearly works now. Does
anyone have any experience with ANTLR for parsing C++ and for
extending their C++ parser? Any other feedback on ANTLR in general
would be welcome too. Thanks,

The problem on joining a computer running FreeBSD(v5.4) to a Windows 2003 Active Directory domain using samba3.
Hi,
I encountered a problem when I joined a FreeBSD machine to a windows =
2003 AD domain.
I passed following steps successfully:
1.#net ads join =A8CUAdministrator =20
2.#wbinfo =A8Cu
3.#wbinfo =A8Cg
But when I check:
#id Domain\\username (I can find this username using command =
=A1=B0wbinfo =A8Cu=A1=B1)
Id Domain\\username: no such user
=20
I found:
After restarting samba, there

[LLVMdev] Automating Diagnostic Instrumentation
Dear List,
I have some questions about some passes for LLVM that I'm thinking about
but first I need to give a little background ...
One of the things I do in my "day job" (large IT system performance
analysis) is to figure out where to place diagnostic instrumentation
within an application. The instrumentation I'm talking about here is the
kind that is inserted into

current zfs tuning in RELENG_7 (AMD64) suggestions ?
I gave the AMD64 version of 7.2 RC2 a spin and all installed as
expected off the dvd
INTEL S3200SHV MB, Core2Duo, 4G of RAM
In the past it had been suggested that for zfs tuning, something like
vm.kmem_size_max="1073741824"
vm.kmem_size="1073741824"
vfs.zfs.prefetch_disable=1
However doing a simple test with bonnie and dd, there does not seem
to be very much difference in

Resetting network device / skb leak
hi,
I seem to have a problem with the Linux xen-network driver leaking skbs.
This is probably my own fault, upon resumption after migration I call
this:
void network_resume(void)
{
struct net_device* dev = __dev_get_by_name("eth0");
MOD_DEC_USE_COUNT;
network_open(dev);
}
-- which works fine. However, in network_open() the call to
NETOP_RESET_RINGS seems to clear all the

Problem with DemoCD 1.2
Hello.
I''ve downloaded and burned the Xen DemoCD 1.2. It boots fine,
and generally seems to work well. However, when I try to create
a domain via xc_dom_create.py I get an ImportError (from a python module
I''m guessing). Problem is that it can''t open the libxc.so.1.2 shared object.
And sure enough, it''s not there. libxc.so is in /usr/lib, but not

Short demo CD image
Hi,
While investigating why the Xen 1.2 Demo CD won''t boot on a particular
laptop, I noticed the download image appears to be truncated. "isoinfo
-d -i xendemo-1.2.iso" reports:
Logical block size is: 2048
Volume size is: 294080
That would suggest the image size should be 294080 * 2048 = 602275840
bytes. However I only have 292376 * 2048 = 598786048 bytes. The web

openMosix and R: File I/O issues?
Hi there,
We're attempting to run an LVQ analysis over a cluster of machines via R
and openMosix. R spawns several child processes simply by writing
commands to several files and using system() to start a slave process.
The processes migrate perfectly, and often finish with no reported
errors, writing their results into respective files for the parent
process to piece together.

Role of Xen/Xenolinux in New IO networking
I know I have asked this before, but I am having trouble understanding
the role of each component in the new 1.3 world:
In 1.3 networking if Xen has no devices, and domain 0 owns and operates
the NIC - does Xen have any role at all in networking for the guest
OS''s?
Which network device driver will a guest OS use?
Do all the vnetif rules defined in Domain 0 now get interpreted by

winbindd GETGRENT results in trusted domains environment
Good day.
1. We have configured two domain controllers on Windows 2003 R2. We
named them TEST.LOCAL and CHILD.TEST.LOCAL respectively and made a
trust relationships between them. 2. We have installed Samba 3.5.3 on
Ubuntu 9.10, kernel 2.6.31-14 and configured it for using winbindd.
We have encountered a problem with results that winbind returns
upon a command GETGRENT. We
