[LLVMdev] get TopDown DSGraph
Dear LLVM,
I was wondering if this is the right way to get TopDown DSGraph?
TDDataStructures &TD = getAnalysis<TDDataStructures>();
F is some function
DSGraph &dsg = TD.getDSGraph(F);
I found out the DSGraph I got using this method is actually bottom up
DSGraph, can you let me know why?

[LLVMdev] DSA / poolalloc: incorrect callgraph for indirect call
Hello,
I am trying to apply DSA (from the poolalloc project - I'm on LLVM 3.2)
on the following C program and found that the generated callgraph
over-approximates the callees for the simple indirect call.

[LLVMdev] DSGraph::computeCalleeCallerMapping failing
I was trying to call "DSGraph::computeCalleeCallerMapping" function on all caller-calle pair. But, in one case it gives an assertion failure. This is the error message I get.

[LLVMdev] (no subject)
Dear LLVM,
I need to do interprocedural analysis for my project. I was wondering if
you can tell me how to create Bottom Up DSGraph and Call Graph in the
program. I know
DSGraph *dsg = new DSGraph( F )
can create a DSGraph, but looks like that's only local DSGraph.
I also need to know how to create the call graph for the whole module in
the program.

I followed what you said and called verifyModule() with the
AbortProcessAction option. verifyModule() returns false, but does not
abort and does not print out any information about what caused the
verification to fail.

Interpreting DSCallGraph results
Any suggestions for how to interpret DSCallGraph's output for the following?
I'm trying to use DSCallGraph to get a conservative estimate of a
whole-program SCC call graph. I wanted to see how it handles real
call-graph cycles involving functions both internal and external to the

[LLVMdev] Pass vs. FunctionPass
I wonder in what cases FunctionPass is better that Pass. For example,
addPassesToEmitAssembly takes PassManger and addPassesToJITCompile takes
FunctionPassManager.
Another question is about FunctionPassManager::run(Function&) and
FunctionPass(Function&). The former calls the later, which is fine, but the

[LLVMdev] Possible memory leak in LLVM 2.5

I'm current using LLVM 2.5 to JIT code in a event driven language running on a game engine. Haven't updated to 2.7 yet, but I do intend to.
When checking for memory leaks I found that each time I was calling EE->runFunction after creating a stub function to execute an event, all the pass information was being repeatedly added to PMDataManager.
