Sloppy me. I fixed the path for llvm-gcc but not for llvm-g++. My last patch to Makefile.rules fixes that so it should start working again. Reid. Hi, Using trunk llvm ; on powerpc (powerpc64/power7); trying to do a "gmake check", the sed bits in test/Makefile appear to be getting tripped up when trying to generate lit.site.cfg. GNU make does not work for some of my other work so for compiling R I am trying to use "gmake" which is a link to the correct version of gnu make. I'm not sure if this should work but it looks like it is suppose to, as $(MAKE) gets expanded to "gmake" most places. However, "make" gets used in R-pre0.63.1/src/library/modreg/src and fails. Hey all, I want to run the profile.pl file in the utils folder but I am having trouble running the script because the profile_rt.so file is not generated properly. I am trying to compile the cfrontend for gcc3, not gcc4. I did ./configure --prefix=/opt/llvmgcc --enable-languages=c,c++ After adding the --enable-languages flag I get "xgcc: installation problem, cannot exec `gccas': No such file or directory" It is true, I don't have gccas in my PATH, nor does the file gccas appear in my cfrontend directory. After puzzling about the size of the executables and the build times, I discovered (thanks Chris!) that I had compiled everything without debug symbols in the automake version.
