[PATCH]: Port to Mac OS X/Darwin, misc
Below I've includes a patch which helps build OpenSSH outside from a read-only source tree, find OpenSSL on Mac OS X, and fix a typo. This applies to OpenSSH 2.1.1p4. You should already have gotten a note from Melissa O'Neil about a conflict with the crc32() symbol in zlib, which was causing a crash on Darwin. I've noticed another bug. If ssh is setuid, I get a permission

Trying to use Opus in an STM32F429IIT6 embedded project
Hi everyone, I'm trying to use Opus in an Embedded Project which I'm developing in a STM32F429IIT6 microcontroller. Currently, I'm playing wav files in it. I ported all the files from OpusLib 1.1.4 needed to compile the project, but when I try to create and OpusDecode state, it returns the error -7 (OPUS_ALLOC_FAIL). I'm compiling it with the USE_ALLOCA flag. I also tried to

Integer overflow in opus_packet_parse_impl
Hello, there is a chance for an integer overflow in opus_packet_parse_impl(): int padding=0; int p; do { if (len<=0) return OPUS_INVALID_PACKET; p = *data++; len--; padding += p==255 ? 254: p; } while (p==255); len -= padding; ... if (len<0) return OPUS_INVALID_PACKET; When ~16 MB of 0xff bytes is fed to the decoder, the padding

OPUS on cortex M4
Hi everybody I wrote a couple of months ago about implementing the opus codec on a DK52 from Nordic (nrf52832 MCU, Cortex M4). In the meantime I got a bit further and would again like to ask some questions. My settings: I included all the opus files into my project (opus-1.2.1) Defined: FIXED POINT, VAR_ARRAYS, DISABLE FLOAT API, OPUS_BUILD, CELT_MODE_ONLY I am able to allocate enough memory

additional compiler hardening flags
Hi all. Any reason not to turn these on if the system supports them? They're cheap but not free (a bit under 1% slower to run the complete regress suite in a completely unscientific test). They're based on info from these places: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ToolChain/CompilerFlags http://wiki.debian.org/Hardening http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/hardened/gnu-stack.xml and I've attempted to

opus: do not use visibility attributes when targetting windows
Seems like opun configury still enables visibility attributes when targeting windows. The following patch disables that. Enable gcc's -fstack-protector-all by default?
Hi all. For a while, gcc has supported a stack protection mechanism (-fstack-protector and friends, available in gcc 4.1.2 and up). Can anyone think of a good reason not to enable it if the compiler supports it? A quick test here shows minimal difference in runtime over a full regress pass (~10sec over 8.5 minutes, and since the machine is not entirely idle that could be experimental error).

configure.in reorder patch
Feb 12 CVS (sort of, see warning below) I've had to change around some of the code in configure.in to get some platforms to compile with the --with-tcp-wrappers option. Basicly I have set it up to check headers check system libraries check for optional packages check functions I have also tried to clean up the library order as it is important on some platforms. This patch works on Solaris

1276 Bytes returned by opus_encode
Maybe i found the source of the problem. The basestation is running several threads. One per sending client and one per receiving client. In each thread there is either an opus_encode() or an opus_decode() but there is in total only one OpusEncoder and one OpusDecoder defined which where used in every thread. Now every thread has it own OpusEncoder or OpusDecoder. After 20minutes of audiostreaming
