How to wrap Opus data in an Ogg stream?
Thanks for a very quick and very good answer. Let me just double-check one thing: > To put multiple Ogg Opus packets in an Ogg page, all you need to do is > start a new segment for each Ogg Opus packet. Why does this code not generate a valid opus file?
Hi. I assume that I am deeply stupid and have missed something obvious, but why does this bare-bones code not generate a valid (If trivial) opus file? Running opusinfo I ge the following which I interpret this to mean that not even the first packet gets a pass: New logical stream (#1, serial: 1f0cce42): type opus WARNING: Could not decode Opus header packet 0 - invalid Opus stream (1) WARNING:

How to identify packets to input to opus_decode()
Hi all, I am a developer for embedded system and totally new to Opus and open source audio codec. I'm now using Microchip dsPIC33 to develop a decoder for Opus. I am now using sources of libopus. The first question is for calling opus_decode(), do I need to skip the header bytes of an opus file before I can input the file data to opus_decode()? Or will libopus handle this automatically?

As you say it's a bit complicated, although oggenc has a lot of extra support for controlling encoder options you

library for creating Opus files?
Which one of the various libraries on xiph.org allow me to create an Opus file? The 3 or so libraries on the Opus download page all seem to be for reading files, converting and/or encode/decode streams. I have device that outputs a stream of Opus 'frames' and I need to save them into an Opus file. -- Tony -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

mjr to opus audio conversion - corrupted results
Hi Mark, Well, so do you think that any of this libraries probably won't provide correct audio conversion? Do you know any other possible solutions for described problems, ommiting trying to fix on my own any of this libraries or waiting for fix? Will you mind if I quote you in disscussion I mentioned? Sorry for asking you so many questions at once. Regards, Mateusz 2015-07-08 17:42

mjr to opus audio conversion - corrupted results
Hi, In our project we use janus-gateway (http://janus.conf.meetecho.com/) as a webRTC gateway and also as a stream recorder. We are on the tests stage of our project, and after very long development time we have ecountered a bug that is a blocker for whole project. After real tests of recording streams using janus we realized that audio and video are out of sync in recordings, despite of fact,

[opus-tools] [PATCH] Add channel-mapping argument to force channel mapping
This patch adds a new option "channel-mapping" to opusenc which sets the channel mapping family used by the multistream encoder. Please let me know whether adding this option is worthwhile and whether the help string is okay. I tried to keep it short but accurate. The error message for an unimplemented channel mapping is "Error cannot create encoder: request not implemented".

OPUS/FLAC Metadata
Marvin, That is the current version being used and it still has no meta data. server_id Icecast 2.4.99.1 Testing the metadata from the admin page “Update Metadata” results in the response: Message: Mountpoint will not accept URL updates Return Code: 1 So I would guess it isn’t functioning yet. > On Jun 12, 2017, at 12:34 PM, Marvin Scholz <epirat07 at gmail.com>

Last call for Opus specification
All, Just a heads up that the IETF codec working group has issued a last call on the draft Opus specification. This means we think the draft adequately documents the format, and that we're willing to live with whatever bugs are present in the reference implementation, if they can't be fixed without breaking decodes. In turn, this means we could really use some feedback from implementers.

OggFLAC metadata support
Hello, I'm currently using Liquidsoap to stream a group of files to Icecast. The stream is sent to Icecast in a few different formats (MP3,HE-AAC v2,OggFlac,OggOpus). The "Current Song" metadata is correctly displayed for the MP3 and the AAC stream, but not the OggFLAC or OggOpus stream. I see a few entries in the Icecast forums, but it does look like FLAC metadata support never

Question about FEC and ogg/opus
Hello, We have a use case where we want to record an opus RTP stream to a .opus file. We want to fill in any gaps in the stream, and we also want to take advantage of inband FEC whenever possible. The ogg/opus draft describes[1] how to fill in gaps by generating zero-byte frames, but I do not understand how (and if) FEC can be used. Is this possible, and if so, what is the recommended way of

Channel Mapping Family for Ambisonics
Hello, We (Google) have been experimenting with configuration and adjustments to CELT-only Opus that give good results for compressing ambisonic audio signals [1]. Based on our results so far, we would like to use Opus to encode spatial audio. We hope to make it easy/possible to use libopus with other common tools and software modules (ffmpeg/libav in particular). Based on my reading of the
