[RFC PATCH v3] Intrinsics/RTCD related fixes. Mostly x86.
From: Jonathan Lennox <jonathan at vidyo.com> * Makes ?enable-intrinsics work with clang and other non-GCC compilers * Enables RTCD for the floating-point-mode SSE code in Celt. * Disables use of RTCD in cases where the compiler targets an instruction set by default. * Enables the SSE4.1 Silk optimizations that apply to the common parts of Silk when Opus is built in floating-point mode, not

[PATCH 00/10] Patched cleaning up Opus x86 intrinsics configury
Thanks to Jean-Marc and Tim explaining 'git rebase -i' to me, I've factored my reorganization of the Opus Intrinsics configury into a number of hopefully more comprehensible (and thus more reviewable) pieces. This applies to the current tip of Opus Master in git. Viswanath's Ne10 changes require some slight modification to apply on top of these patches, but nothing major.

ARM NEON optimization -- celt_fir()
Hi all, This is Linfeng Zhang from Google. I'll work on ARM NEON optimization in the next few months. I'm submitting 2 patches in the following couple of emails, which have the new created celt_fir_neon(). I revised celt_fir_c() to not pass in argument "mem" in Patch 1. If there are concerns to this change, please let me know. Many thanks to your comments. Linfeng Zhang

[PATCH] 02-Add CELT filter optimizations
Please ignore my previous mail and patch, there is a new version :). Patch changes are: - Use MAC16_16 macros instead of (sum += a*b) and unroll a loop by 2. It increase performance when using optimized macros (ex: ARMv5E). A possible side effect of loop unroll is that i don't check for odd length here. - Add NEON version of FIR filter and autocorr - Add a section in autoconf in order to

Major internal changes, TI DSP build change
I rebuilt the TI DSP build for the C55 this morning, in order to add the window.c file to the TI project. I encountered two problems: 1. I got a compile error at line 410 in nb_celp.c, because this compiler will not allow variable declarations in the midst of executable code. I fixed this by bracketing this code block: line 410: { /* Added */ spx_word16_t *exc16_alias =

Speex on TI C6x, Problem with TI C5x Patch
Hi Jean-Marc, Hi Jim, I have also seen some problems with the 1.1.8 release on the C55x. So far I have boiled down the issues to the following: 1) We need our own "fixed_xx.h" header file. I don't know why, and haven't had time to investigate, but there is a definite improvement when I use the attached fixed_c55x.h file which has turned all the maths into inline functions.

[RFC PATCH v1 0/4] Enable aarch64 intrinsics/Ne10
Hi All, Since I continue to base my work on top of Jonathan's patch, and my previous Ne10 fft/ifft/mdct_forward/backward patches, I thought it would be better to just post all new patches as a patch series. Please let me know if anyone disagrees with this approach. You can see wip branch of all latest patches at https://git.linaro.org/people/viswanath.puttagunta/opus.git Branch:

Info on Symbian, ARM and OFFSET_IMM8 relocation error
Hi all, i'm using speex under symbian. When i have compiled the lib for ARM platform i have obtained the follow error: "Error: Can not represent OFFSET_IMM8 relocation in this object file format (1)" I have defined FIXED_POINT 1 and ARM4_ASM. The error is in the function forced_pitch_quant contained in ltp.c. The line that produce the error is:

[RFC PATCH v1 0/5] aarch64: celt_pitch_xcorr: Fixed point series
Hi Timothy, As I mentioned earlier [1], I now fixed compile issues with fixed point and resubmitting the patch. I also have new patch that does intrinsics optimizations for celt_pitch_xcorr targetting aarch64. You can find my latest work-in-progress branch at [2] For reference, you can use the Ne10 pre-built libraries at [3] Note that I am working with Phil at ARM to get my patch at [4]

Possible bug in "pitch_downsample"
Hi Jean-Marc, I could be way off base here, but it seems to me that line 115 in pitch.c in the function "pitch_downsample": x_lp[i] = SHR32(HALF32(HALF32(x[1][(2*i-1)]+x[1][(2*i+1)])+x[1][2*i]), SIG_SHIFT+2); should actually be: x_lp[i] += SHR32(HALF32(HALF32(x[1][(2*i-1)]+x[1][(2*i+1)])+x[1][2*i]), SIG_SHIFT+2); Sorry if I'm totally misreading things and just
