Problem compiling opus-tools-0.1.7
Hi,
Seems like it's not linking with libm. I suspect it has to do with
linking statically with libopus.a (is that intended?). Maybe opus-tools
relies on the fact that libopus is linked with libm and doesn't
explicitly add it? Greg?

Strange ogginfo result
Hi!
I'm using the opus-tools package from the current Debian (it says it is

opusenc confused by Replaygain tags
Hi,
I think I might have kind of, sort of found a bug in opusenc. But do
correct me if I am worng. :)
When converting an FLAC file that contains RG tags written by
bs1770gain the resulting opus file has a way, way too high RG value. I
am talking >90dB(!).
Here is the metaflac output of the flac file:
% metaflac --block-number=2 --list bs.1770/test.flac
METADATA block #2

Problem compiling opus-tools-0.1.7
Hi
I'm having a problem compiling opus-tools-0.1.7.
Version opus-tools-0.1.6 seems to compile OK.
I've tried with opus-1.0.3 and opus-1.1-beta.
The errors are like this:-
"undefined reference to `sqrtf'" etc.
This OS is Peppermint Three, similar to Ubuntu 12.04.
It uses:-
gcc --version
gcc (Ubuntu/Linaro 4.6.3-1ubuntu5) 4.6.3
Google says it's maybe something to do

no gnome-applets in C7.2
Weird. There seems to be quite a bit of software missing from C7.2,
gnome-applets being one of them. Or has it been moved or renamed or
otherwise obscured?

Since gnome-panel and 'flashback' mode have been removed from GNOME 3,
gnome-applets is no longer required or available. Much of the

opus manpages
Dear authors of Opus,
currently, the manpages that come with opus-tools
are written in the traditional man(7) markup language.
I am proposing to rewrite them into the semantic markup
of the mdoc(7) language. I am willing to do the work.
Both the man(7) and mdoc(7) languages have been around for decades,
and are supported by the prevalent formatters: groff(1) on most Linuxes
and mandoc(1) on the

XFCE missing applets: weather and xfapplet
Hello there,
I'm just looking for two XFCE applets I'm missing: the weather and
xfapplet (the one to load GNOME applets). Couldn't find them in
repositories I know of. Any hint or do I have to either wait or
compile their sources by hand?
Thanks in advance for any XFCE help!
Regards,

switch between speech and music encoding rather quickly.
I wanted to try that for a CD track that has a vocal (talk) introduction =
followed by music (just two instruments).
Using foobar2000 with some custom setup for Opus, I tried VBR encoding =
with a 256kbps setting (opus-tools-0.1.9-win32). My expectation was that =
the bitrate would be significantly lower than 256kbps while speech is =

opusenc for ambisonics?
I compiled the latest (git master) of opus, libopusenc, opusfile and
opus-tools:
$ opusenc --version
opusenc opus-tools 0.2-8-g4976421 (using libopus 1.3.1-4-gad8fe90d)
I tried to encode a 3rd order Ambisonics wav file with the standard
Ambix (ACN-SN3D) format; opusinfo is reporting :

Exporting tables to RTF?
Greetings.
Yesterday I managed to jury-rig a system to get a table out of R and
import it into Nisus Writer Express (a word processor for Mac OS X).
What I came up with is brittle, since it depends on an AppleScript
script which has to be in a specific location and on no one touching
the computer, since the AppleScript remotely controls Nisus Writer
Express rather blindly and will make

[PATCH] Support for Ambisonics
Since the opusenc and opusinfo changes were independent I split them
up and landed the opusinfo changes (with updated mapping family
