Handsfree Agent not registered
Hello all,
I''m mucking around trying to get my desktop computer (Ubuntu 11.10,
BlueZ 4.96, ASUS USB-BT211 USB Bluetooth adapter, no microphone hooked
up at the moment) to act as a a hands-free device for my phone (Nexus
S). It was relatively simple getting it set up for A2DP, and I was
able to play music that is on my phone through my desktop''s speakers

Sending files from mobile to CentOS via Bluetooth
Has anyone here managed to send files from a mobile phone to a CentOS
system via Bluetooth? I'm trying with a Samsung E1310, using the GNOME
tools, but can't get it to work. I can send files from the Linux box to
this phone using the Nautilus bluetooth plugin
(nautilus-sendto-bluetooth), and have also managed to "pull" some data

More current version of bluez
Centos continues to fall behind in with the state of bluetooth development.
Nothing new from 5.1 to 5.2.
Has anyone got a more recent version working and have compile and rpm
build instructions?
Here are the rpms that I have:

Bluetooth 4.0 with chip BCM20702A0 on CentOS6.4
Hi All,
I bought a USB Bluetooth dongle.
However, it's not working for me. Please help, how to debug and get more
information as I can not see any error or warning message from system log
message.
I checked http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.linux.bluez.kernel/22183/focus=22211,

Chan_cellphone and CentOS 4.x
I ran into a problem today while trying to compile chan_cellphone version 17
on a CentOS 4.4 machine. Apparently the bluez and autoconf versions were to
old and as I tried to install the latest version, I found that the new
bluez-lib would install and allow the chan_cellphone to compile, but
bluez-utils required an update to D-sub which in turn required python 2.4 or
better. That apparently in not

Latest chan_mobile
Hello,
I recently updated my asterisk-addons-1.6.2 to the last revision and I have
this problem that I don't know how to interpret, bug or not. I connected a
Nokia N80 phone to use chan_mobile and everything works great until the
phone starts getting disconnected after the call finished and sometimes
during the call attempt.
Is this a bug or a possible known issue for Nokia phones?

Cannot compile chan_bluetooth on Asterisk 1.2.1
The short of it:
I am unable to compile chan_bluetooth on Asterisk 1.2.1 on CentOS 4.2.
I installed using the Asterisk@Home 2.2 iso. Server is a plain
Celeron 2.93GHz box. Asterisk source is in /usr/src/asterisk, newest
chan_bluetooth source is in
/usr/src/asterisk-test/bluetooth/chan_bluetooth (I have two older
versions in other directories).
Steps taken:
Followed the instructions here to a

What is the threat you're trying to mitigate, specifically?? I don't see
how pairing a tablet would allow file transfers.? An

Limiting what devices can pair over Bluetooth?
I've managed to get a Wacom Intuos Pro 2 (PTH-660) tablet working over
Bluetooth to a CentOS 7 install. Well, I didn't actually have to do much
to get it working ...
However, we don't normally enable Bluetooth for security reasons, so I
need to be able to configure things so Bluetooth can _only_ be used to
pair with Wacom tablets
As I never used Bluetooth in anger before, I'm

Chan_mobile issue
Hello,
I just did a fresh svn install of 1.4 trunk everything. Everything
compiles and installs just fine.
When I get to asterisk-addons, I cannot select chan_mobile in
menuselect.
Chan_mobile is not even an option in menuselect for asterisk trunk.
I tried the latest patch which failed in many places but did add an
option for chan_mobile in menuselect for asterisk but it still cannot be

Can't start pand -- is the problem in /etc/rc.d/init.d/pand?
I have been stepping into pand. There is nothing I can find on this
list about getting pand working. There are some instructions on
wifi.bluez.org that seem to be redhatish, but....
I have edited /etc/sysconfig/pand:
PANDARGS='--listen --role GN --master'
I have created a /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-bnep0:
DEVICE=bnep0
BOOTPROTO=none
ONBOOT=no
IPADDR=192.168.201.101

bluetooth audio and asterisk
Has anyone successfully used a standard bluetooth enabled system to
connect to a standard bluetooth enabled mobile phone (not the bluetooth
to FXS converters) to create an audio path for phone calls with
asterisk, if so is there a writeup on what was done so that others can
replicate this.
What I am thinking is that via alsa/oss/whatever you should be able to
use the bluetooth audio channel as a
