winbind rfc2307 - wbinfo -i fails
I'm trying to get Samba 4 AD to work with rfc2307 extensions.
wbinfo -i fails
root at m1:~# wbinfo -i SAMDOM\\demo01
failed to call wbcGetpwnam: WBC_ERR_DOMAIN_NOT_FOUND
winbindd.log it here: http://pastebin.com/X0rEaLt2
Pretty much everything else seems to work:
root at m1:~# wbinfo --ping-dc
checking the NETLOGON for domain[SAMDOM] dc connection to "dc1.samdom.example.com"

opusenc confused by Replaygain tags
Hi,
I think I might have kind of, sort of found a bug in opusenc. But do
correct me if I am worng. :)
When converting an FLAC file that contains RG tags written by
bs1770gain the resulting opus file has a way, way too high RG value. I
am talking >90dB(!).
Here is the metaflac output of the flac file:
% metaflac --block-number=2 --list bs.1770/test.flac

Possible bug in Opus 1.3 (opus-tools-0.2-opus-1.3)?
Hi!
Playing with Opus 1.3 I converted a tone sweep with a sample rate of 96kHz (just for fun). Before I had converted that from WAV to FLAC, and to Vorbis without problems.
With Opus I noticed that the file size for 48kHz and 48 kbps compared to 96kHz Vorbis at 31kbps is about double the size and it sounds even worse (than Vorbis) (there is a lot of noise in the lower frequencies when a low

I wanted to try that for a CD track that has a vocal (talk) introduction =

Using foobar2000 with some custom setup for Opus, I tried VBR encoding =

Ambisonics with Head Locked Stereo to Opus Channel Mapping Family 2 for WebVR Chrome App and YouTube
Hello,
I am trying to encode an Opus file with Ambisonics including Head-Locked (non-diegetic) Stereo sound for a Virtual Reality 360° video.
YouTube describes the spatial audio requirements here:
https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/6395969
It's the last list item 5.

Can you please post the original wav?
I am not sure what Audacity means by a logarithmisch sweep.
Is that a fixed number of Hertz per

No, just fooled by the list defaults (some need just reply, others need reply

Hi!
Excuse the delay, but I had to deal with a corrupted NTFS file system that ate many important files on an USB stick...
The FLAC version of the original is almost 6MB and it can be downloaded slowly from this time-limited link:

Opus in VOIP
Hi!
I'd like to ask whether someone did test Opus in real-world VOIP (SIP). Did
someone e.g. some characterization about sending faxes or DTFM through
Opus? Does it work and if yes for which bitrates?
Thanks!

Transcoding OPUS?
Hello,
I'd like to ask whether there is some documentation with recommended
parameters for transcoding voice codecs such as G722, G711a/u <-> Opus with
near-transparency.
My Idea is to have something like:
HW-Phone <-> Asterisk <---------> Asterisk <-> HW-Phone
(G722)
(Opus) (G722)
in order to lower the bandwidth between the two
