Did you try replacing the create() with separate malloc() and init() steps. If so, which of the two was causing the problems? BTW, you need a C99 compiler for VAR_ARRAYS to work, although you may be able to use USE_ALLOCA. Dear All, I am trying to see smbclient resolves workgroup available. I find that it only resolves, if I put guest account as root, user. How to Cross compile Samba Source
Hi, I am using samba-2.2.8a.tar.gz source and complied for regular linux. Now I am trying to cross compile it, but do not have any guidelines on how to do it? Anyone can help me on, making cross compilation work for arm-linux host. Any help is appreciated. [EXTERNAL] Re: Developing OPUS on TI CC3220
Jean-Marc, Thanks for the response and the helpful info. I am trying to get the library to build without using the pseudostack define, and use either VAR_ARRAYS or ALLOC, but it seems the global stack is not defined. Where do can I define this in my example? VR -----Original Message----- From: Jean-Marc Valin [mailto:jmvalin at jmvalin.ca] Sent: Tuesday, February 20, 2018 5:40 PM To:

stack + heap sizes
?? hi ?Jean-Marc, ? thanks for your answer. But still I am struggling to find a reasonable upper limit for the RAM sizes. ? You say we need 4.5/9.0 kB for enc/dec per channel. But are those sizes really independent of any settings, like frame_size, bitrate, complexity, etc. ? ? at least in our configuration I find these requirements:? ?- native stack: < 2.1kB (enc or dec) measured by RealView

Not sure what you mean here. If your compiler supports C99 VLAs, then by all means just define VAR_ARRAYS and you're good to go. If not, the second best option is alloca(),

memory violation in mode_create() !
? There seems to be a memory violation when calling celt_mode_create(48000, 240). ? The function compute_pulse_cache() calls celt_alloc (the second one, bits=celt_alloc()) in order to allocate 343 byte, but it is using about 872 bytes at that location, which will be deleted by the following allocations. ? In this case the following encoder call crashes at first run. ? Sorry, my time is very

Opus configuration for ARM cortex M7
Hi, I'm planning to use Opus codec on a ARM cortex M7 device running at 400MHz. Con you please suggest the best configuration directives that I have to set in the config.h file in order to obtain the best perfromances on the cortex M7 architecture? Actually I have compiled libopus 1.2.1 with the following cnfiguration parameters: #define VAR_ARRAYS  1 #define FIXED_POINT  1 #define

Attempting to shrink speex: Are these functions necessary?
I'm glad to hear that my data size can be shrunk considerably, however I do not know the minimum values that I would set the static arrays to be. I hate to be a bother but could you tell me the minimum values for these arrays/structures in the state structure? Thanks! encode: stack winBuf excBuf swBuf lagWindow old_lsp old_qlsp mem_sp mem_sw mem_sw_whole mem_exc mem_exc2 pi_gain pitch

Can I use VBR option to change byte_per_packet dynamically ?
Hi,I have been trying some different sample rate and bitrate combinations to get a feel for how CELT behaves,too, like Andrew Lentvorski. But I want to use VBR option.I want to ask a question about VBR in CELT codec.Can we use VBR option in CELT ??? "byte_per_packet" variable in code means constant bit rate, does not it ?In this code : bytes_per_packet is constant.len =

Speex crashing on ARM with assembler optimization enabled.
Hi, I'm trying to get speex working on an ARM board (ARM926EJ-Sid(wb) core, ARM 5TE architecture) and getting segfaults if build with "--enable-fixed-point --enable-arm5e-asm" options. If I use just "--enable-fixed-point", then it runs fine, but once I add "--enable-arm5e-asm" it start crashing (I use testenc to test it). Further investigation showed, that it

But if you think it helps, I can compile gcc 4.1 and give it a shot. >> Compile flags: >> DEFINES +=

Thanks Jean-Marc, I was able to get both encode and decode working the CC3220 device! But for bi-directional communication, I need decode and encode to occur in less time than the frame size I’m sending (20 ms). Currently decode takes 16~22 ms and encode is ~13 ms. What is the best way to try to reduce this time? Also, unsure why encode is taking less time than decode... I've also

Ok, I got a strange case.. I got a bugreport from a user about my application crashing on him. After a bit of trouble, I got him to report back the module and offset it crashed at (win32). I always retain a copy of my symbol files for my release builds, so tracking down the crash address leads to: (gdb) list *0x6d5c2213 0x6d5c2213 is in split_cb_search_shape_sign (cb_search.c:414). 409
