pkgconfig fix for nut
Dear Stanislav, thanks for your patch. The problem with your "recommended" pkgconfigdir is that in many cases, it does not work. Namely, when ${prefix} is not one of the standard places such as /usr. As I understand it, the whole point of a tool like pkgconfig is to allow other software to automatically detect the install location of NUT, especially when that location is not one of

Liebert PSIXR 3000 intellislot web card support with NUT 2.6.0
Hi, Just started using NUT with a Liebert PSI-XR 3000 with an Intellislot web card. It seems I can't get it to run properly. I am using NUT 2.6.0 built from source on Ubuntu 8.0.4 . My build parameters are : ./configure --enable-strip --with-linux-hiddev=/usr/include/linux/hiddev.h --with-udev-dir=/lib/udev \ --prefix=/usr \ --exec-prefix=/ \ --sysconfdir=/etc/nut \

"@LIBICU_CFLAGS@: No such file or directory" during libtool command for lib-fts (cross compile)
Hello, I am a complete newbie to dovecot, but do have reasonable experience in compiling Unix/Linux software. I am currently trying to do a cross-compile of dovecot-2.29.1 to be used on my home office Thecus NAS (host: Thecus kernel 2.6.33 on 32-bit Intel Atom: "i686-nptl-linux-gnu"; my build machine has Ubuntu 16.04.2 LTS) "from ground up", i.e. I need to build and

UPS/NUT with openSUSE 13.1
Tim, Thanks for the help! No, I didn't already know that... I swear, the more time I spend at this, the less I seem to be understanding. I know that it had to be finding the libusb-compat I had just installed, because configure hadn't worked before that, and now it did. But finding useful version information seems to be almost impossible. Rob Groner Software Engineer Level II RTD

[PATCH 1/2] Handle AC_SEARCH_LIBS special result value
AC_SEARCH_LIBS will give a result of "none required" if the relevant function is available without any special libraries. (This is the case for lrintf on MinGW.) Make sure this special value isn't put verbatim into the pkg-config files, as it would cause the linker to search for files named "none" and "required", and fail. --- configure.ac | 6

UPS/NUT with openSUSE 13.1
Thanks again Tim. I installed openSUSE from scratch, without installing libusb anything. I tried configure, and it failed because it couldn't find libusb. I used ldconfig to see what the system could see. It found 3 entries with "libusb" in them. I then built and installed the last update of libusb-0.1 (not libusb-compat or libusb-1.0). I tried configure, and it ran without

UPS/NUT with openSUSE 13.1
Rob - Just stepping in from the sidelines . . . with a few tidbits. Nut uses pkgconfig to find and identify stuff as part of it's build . . . So, depending on where your libusb install went, if it wasn't in the default "PKG_CONFIG_PATH" setting, it won't be found. Much like other shell variables, you can adjust that setting to find anything you like . . . IE

Hi Charles, I've been monitoring for the past few days and NUT has been running solid. Tested and everything's working as it should. Thanks for all of your help on this, great to have it running well again and learned lot. ________________________________ From: Daniel Shields <grungelizard9 at hotmail.com> Sent: Tuesday, October 25, 2016 8:01 PM To: Charles Lepple Subject:

xapian 1.2.21 / MSYS-1.0.11.exe
Xapian Developers, [I initially thought to install xapian on SFU (Interix 3.5) on MS XP but could not compile libuuid] [getopt.h, inttypes.h, and stdint.h taken from SUA (for Vista) and installed in SFU (Interix 3.5)] If someone is inclined to write a modified libuuid and label it for use with Interix <version(s)> to satisfy the dependency for an xapian <version(s)> install on
