Problem with building dahdi-linux RPM
Hello folks.
First of all, sorry for my English :-)
I want to build dahdi-2.0.0 rpm from source (i have to use this version,
because OpenVox A1200p driver works only with it).
I've made some changes in .spec file (added one patch and one source
section) and trying to build rpm:
rpmbuild --define with-udev -bb SPECS/dahdi-linux.spec
Executing(%prep): /bin/sh -e /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.86801

but it never creates the rpm files.
The command I used is:

build error : xapian-core-0.9.4_svn6707
I posted this message first. But it was missing so I post again.
I think there is a some bug in build configration files.
Can you check up the following errors and fix it?
The error has no concern with UTF-8 patch.
Environment : CentOS 4.3 x86_64

Cannot install 'libdcrypt_openssl.la' to a directory not ending in /usr/lib/dovecot
Hi,
For some reason I've never been able to build x64 dovecot rpm package,
no matter how I try, I'm still getting lib64 errors, first tried few
years on centos 5, ok I know this is old distro, then few years tried
with centos 6 (and wrote here also - CentOS x64 compilation fails),
supported distro, no luck, now installed centos 7 and still no luck, so
seems it's not about centos or

Hi all,
I was trying to rebuild mtr

Cannot install 'libdcrypt_openssl.la' to a directory not ending in /usr/lib/dovecot
Well, but not for centos 5 and also these rpm are including a lot stuff
what I don't need. But I will check the src rpm -s from repo and diff
these specs with my current ones.

Can anyone compile mtr source RPM on CentOS 6.7?
I'm not surprised, given that it is in the repo. That's why I was asking
if anyone tried building it themselves and, if so, did they have the
same issue as I describe below?
Alternatively, any tips/advice on solving my build issue would be helpful.

rpmbuild for different architecture [OT?]
As far as I can tell, the rpm-list went defunct circa 2008 so I'm asking here.
No doubt someone will let me know if this is not OK.
I'm trying to build an RPM on a CentOS VM targeted to run on an ARM architecture machine.
I have a test program, prime, that I cross compiled on my VM and when I copy it onto
my target machine it runs correctly. Now I want to package it in an RPM.

rpmbuild environment CentOS5 vs CentOS6
On CentOS5 I was used to create a simple spec file where at the end I'll
declare files and directories I wan't to package:

%files
%dir /opt/myapp
%dir /opt/myapp/bin
%dir /opt/myapp/etc
/opt/myapp/bin/exec01
/opt/myapp/etc/myapp.conf

I'll copy the file in /usr/src/redhat/SPECS and run "rpmbuild -bb

On CentOS6 rpm-build package no longer

rpmbuild failure
I'm trying to rebuild nx-3.2.0-8.el5.centos.src.rpm from the extras repo.
It works on a machine running 5.1, but fails on another running 5.3. The
working machine is arch=x86_64, the other i386. The strange bit is the line
rpmbuild complains about: it's the last line in the spec file, at the end
of the %changelog section:

trouble building an rpm
i'm a newbie at building rpms. I made a few rpms years ago, but can't now make one on Centos 5.
In /usr/local/rpmbuild, there are 5 subdirs: BUILD RPMS SOURCES SPECS SRPMS tmp
When I type: rpmbuild -ba /usr/local/rpmbuild/SPECS/centos-release-cr-ihc.spec
I get 'file not found' errors, for paths in /usr/local/rpmbuild/tmp:

Trouble Building RPMS v3.6.16
Hi,
My system: OS: Centos 6.4? Samba: 3.6.16
I'm trying to build the RPMS from the packaging/RHEL directory.? After I
patched the samba.spec file the build is successful.? All packages
install without an issue. But when I try to install the SSSD, its
dependencies get errors that it conflicts with libtalloc, libtdb and libtevent. from the samba-common.
If I try to use the external
