You shouldn't need to set LD_LIBRARY_PATH - libtool should set rpath
when linking against a library outside

Re: [libvirt] Python-libvirt in a virtual environment.
@Michel
using virtualenv we can create an isolated environment in the system.
Just go through - http://docs.python-guide.org/en/latest/dev/virtualenvs/
@Eric
I'm using Ubuntu, and I was able to install and use libvirt using sudo
apt-get install python-libvirt but its not available in tg2 virtual
environment.
Moreover if you try to install in the virtualenv using the sudo apt-get

Nested defined resources
I''m working on a module to handle creating and populating Python
virtualenvs. Without going into too much detail, basically these are
nicely-encapsulated environments into which python packages can be
installed and run. It''s not uncommon to have several virtualenvs on a
system, potentially with the same packages installed (maybe different
versions).

reticulate + virtual environments
Hi,
I am using reticulate and a virtual environment (not conda) to run
Python scripts from RStudio. However, when I try to use my own
(existing) virtual environment, reticulate does not use it. If I run my
scripts, the installed modules (e.g., py_install("pandas",
"mmstat4.hu.data")) are not found. I believe this happens because
reticulate is using r-reticulate instead of

reticulate + virtual environments
Have you tried https://rstudio.github.io/reticulate/ ?
Generally speaking, complex nonstandard package specific questions
such as yours rarely get a reply here -- there are 20,000+ packages
(and counting) after all! As reticulate was created by and integrated
with RStudio/Posit, I would think their site and help resources might
be a better venue. Of course, if you don't use RStudio, you may

Rules for running SWIG
With the new "stamp" rules for running SWIG, things don't seem to get
rebuilt when I expect them to, e.g.:

make: Nothing to be done for `modern/xapian_wrap.cc'.
olly at ixion:~/svn/xapian/xapian-bindings/python $ ls -l modern/xapian_wrap.cc

[LLVMdev] http://llvm.org/perf/ instability: some clues
Daniel, Tobias, Renato and myself have been looking a little bit at the
potential underlying reason
for why http://llvm.org/perf/ is instable, and have found some clues. I want
to share them here
to give people with more experience in the frameworks used by LNT (flask,
sqlalchemy, wsgi, .)
a chance to check if our reasoning below seems plausible.

Running LNT and the LLVM test-suite on Windows
Is it possible to run the LLVM test-suite using LNT on Windows? Even under
Cygwin? If so how can I do this? The Linux instructions use 'virtualenv'.
Alternatively, how should I run the LLVM test-suite for a cross-compiler
hosted on Windows?
Thanks,
MartinO

make install ignoring PREFIX for bash_completion
I am trying to install the libguestfs python bindings in my
virtualenv. Since this cannot be done through PIP, I was trying to do
the following:
https://github.com/libguestfs/libguestfs/commit/fcbfc4775fa2a44020974073594a745ca420d614
To get to building the python dist, I did the following:
git clone https://github.com/libguestfs/libguestfs.git
git checkout 1.28.5
./autogen.sh --disable-php
