Writing a MatchDecider and exposing it to PHP
I would like to write a MatchDecider in C++ and expose it to PHP. I'm able to compile a simple extension and use SWIG to expose a simple function to PHP, but I can't seem to hit upon the right incantation to expose my MatchDecider class. I have a header file declaring my decider, MyDecider.h #ifndef _INC_MYDECIDER_H #define?_INC_MYDECIDER_H #include <xapian/enquire.h>

ExpandDecider and MatchDecider operator() return type
Currently ExpandDecider::operator() and MatchDecider::operator() return `int' for no very good reason that I can see. It would be more natural to return `bool', since these classes are making a "yes/no" decision about whether to include a term in an ESet or a document in an MSet. The problem is that this can't be done without breaking existing user code which defines

comparing matched proportions using glm
Dear R users, Is it possible to use a generalized linear model to do a binomial comparison of one list of proportions with a matched list of proportions to test for a difference? So, for example: list 1 list 2 a1 | b1 a2 | b2 3 | 4 7 | 9 6 | 7 5 | 1 9 | 1 3 | 1 I want to compare list 1 with list 2 and the samples

PHP MatchDecider in 1.2.0
Good afternoon I would like to ask if is possible in new version of Xapian some kind of subclasing MatchDecider in PHP. I am developing application where is very complex permission management. so it cannot be stored in fultext database. MatchDeciders are perfect for this purpose. But I dont know if is possible to use them in PHP even if SWIG now supports directors. Now Iam using

How to beat Google aka Xapian & Natural Language Processing.
Xapians! If tomorrow Xapian search engine would achieved the same performance and result in searches as Google we would not be able to beat Google, because we would create only a copy of the searches that already exists from Google search engine. However there is a way to beat anyone, and there is a way to beat Google successfully as well just do not give up. Some see it as implementing Ajax, or

Enquire::get_mset() "first" and MatchDecider
Hello, This is a somewhat idle question about Enquire::get_mset(), possibly based on wrong assumptions on how Xapian works, but I would be grateful if someone satisfied my curiosity. Xapian::MSet Xapian::Enquire::get_mset(Xapian::doccount first, Xapian::doccount maxitems, const Xapian::RSet * omrset = 0, const

weight scheme with document values
Hi guys, I resently used xapian to sort some documents by distance between 2 points. I implemented a MatchDecider which work well. I now tried to implement a Weight scheme to put my document in ascending order depending on the distance... My information to calcul distance is in values in the document. How I can access document values from Weight to be able to add some sum_extra weight ??

Hello, I have a data as follow: ID    Visit xa1 xa2 yb1 yc23 yb33   I want to look at frequency of visit for ID and create a new column as response .  For example my response would be 2 for x and 3 for y. [PATCH v20 3/7 RESEND] xbitmap: add more operations
This patch adds support to find next 1 or 0 bit in a xbmitmap range and clear a range of bits. More possible optimizations to add in the future: 1) xb_set_bit_range: set a range of bits. 2) when searching a bit, if the bit is not found in the slot, move on to the next slot directly. 3) add tags to help searching. [PATCH v21 0/5] Virtio-balloon Enhancement
This patch series enhances the existing virtio-balloon with the following new features: 1) fast ballooning: transfer ballooned pages between the guest and host in chunks using sgs, instead of one array each time; and 2) free page block reporting: a new virtqueue to report guest free pages to the host. The second feature can be used to accelerate live migration of VMs. Here are some details: Live

How can I get the interpolated data?
Hello,everybody! I am a beginner of R. And I want to ask a question. If anybody would help me, thank you very much ahead. I want to plot something like a response surface, and I find the "rsm" package. Some commands are like this: #code head library(rsm) CR = coded.data(ChemReact, x1 ~ Time, x2 ~ Temp) CR.rsm = rsm(Yield ~ SO(x1,x2), data = CR) summary(CR.rsm) contour(CR.rsm,x1~x2)
