problem with bindings configure script
Olly,
I think the confdefs.h issue was due to the fact that I was using
XAPIAN_CONFIG to point to the configure script, rather than the
xapian_config executable created when making xapian_core, as pointed out by
James.
Also, as a general note, when trying to make the bindings, I had a problem
when make was trying to compile the java source in org/xapian
The following line:

problem with bindings configure script
James,
That worked, thanks, but with a caveat. I don't know if this is a
limitation of autoconf/configure, but jni.h wants to include jni_md.h,
which is located in JNI_INCLUDE_DIR/win32, which is not automatically
searched. I was able to work around this by moving jni_md.h from the win32
sub directory to the same directory as jni.h. No idea who's bug this is, if
it is legitimately a bug,

James,
That was exactly the issue. libmagic.dll.a was in /lib under cygwin. Adding
a -L/lib took care of this. This was also an issue with -lpcre, which
adding -L/lib fixed as well. Of course, I'm now running up against
something else. from make

It's slightly confusing, but this error means it's failing to find a _library_ called magic, which won't be in a file just called "magic". I don't know where libraries live under cygwin, or what they're called, but it'll probably

The "share" vs "lib" distinction is that "share" is for files which are
architecture independent. So executable machine code will (well,
should) never be there, only data files, scripts,

Realtime on Asterisk 1.2.24
Does realtime work reliably on Asterisk 1.2.24?
Are there any definitive guides, I can only find bits and pieces here
and there. Any accurate howtos would be of great help.
I am missing func_realtime.so. Where does this file come from?
Asterisk or asterisk-addons? I saw in one of the howtos that it is
needed. Is it needed for 1.2.X or 1.4.X. Also, what about the switch

ChanSpy in Asterisk 1.2.24
Hello
I have an old Asterisk where I need to listen to Agent calls. So I
created this code:
exten => _555,1,ChanSpy(Agent)
exten => _555,n,Hangup()
But I always get:
2009-10-22 16:00:38 WARNING[5695]: pbx.c:1720 pbx_extension_helper: No
application 'ChanSpy' for extension (default, 555, 1)
It seems that Asterisk doesn't have ChanSpy enabled... is this possible?

Unclear yet about any possible use of patches, either for MSYS/MINGW and/or MSYS2/MINGW, for xapian-core versions(?), but here are sections of the 'configure' and 'make check' logs I output from a MSYS/MINGW (g++ 5.3.0) compile on XP SP3 (32 bit) Home Edition (xapian-core-1.2.24).
