Remote protocol abstracted
I have been working in the abstraction of the remote protocol to separate it from the server and the connection. The purpose of this is I need to use the Xapian remote protocol in a server we are working on (named Xapiand: https://github.com/Kronuz/Xapiand) which is similar to some extent to the `xapian-tcpsrv` in that it also serves databases remotely through TCP, using the binary protocol. svn:eolstyle
Hi all, Many of the source files are moving towards having the property svn:eolstyle=native (thanks Richard!) In trying to keep up with bug 100, I've noticed (via "entire file is in conflict due to eol markers" diffs :) that the following files still lack this setting: xapian-core/matcher/Makefile.mk xapian-core/net/serialise.cc xapian-core/net/remoteserver.cc

[LLVMdev] Using -noexternals option of NightlyTest.pl
Result night tester run at FreeBSD 5.1 accessable by URL http://npt.cc.rsu.ru/testresults-X86-FreeBSD/index.html I can't guaranty run it per day base, sorry. As i can see, make (bug 385) and perl (bug 386) not builded by NightlyTest.pl (but builded if use gmake night tests run format) So I don't known preferable solutions: its can be closed or patches applied. Active directory and winbind RID/SID to uid and gid maping across several linux servers
We are using a windows server 2003 active directory as our single sign on server. I have been able to get our RHEL4U6 servers to authenticate with active directory. My concern is that the RID mapping to unix uid/gid range (15000-20000) is stored locally on each machine in a tdb database. So far all of the servers have produced the same mapping, but I do not think it is guarantied. I think the

GUI bug (PR#1711)
Full_Name: Socrates Alikhanidi Version: 1.5.1 OS: Windows 2000 Submission from: (NULL) (133.15.3.28) During resizing of 'R Console' windows the fatal error of forbidden memory access appears. To reproduce that with a guaranty, resize windows by mouse with small steps. Probably the faster computer is, the earlier that event appears. I have PIV 1.8 GHz. Waiting time was near 1 second.

Okay, sounds great. I added it to the page with a note to that effect: http://llvm.cs.uiuc.edu/testresults/ Thanks a lot for volenteering to run it. Also, if you notice

'pausing' in R
I have this 'odd' problem; I need to let R pause, for a given time, before starting next iteration in a loop. I'm using the following to do this task, but feel a little bit guilty because I'm using as much CPU time as I can get while pausing: while(keepGoing) { t.end <- proc.time()[3] + 5 ## the time this loop should end at [block of R commands] while(proc.time()[3]

build buglet
I use R CMD Rdindex man/*.Rd >INDEX in my makefile to generate an INDEX. When I then use R CMD build whatever the newindex seems to be in a slightly different order, resulting in a * checking whether index is up-to-date ... NO (because the result of diff is not empty) and a suggestion to use --force. However, --force results in the INDEX in my source directory being re-written, which

[LLVMdev] ConstantFoldBinaryFP and cross compilation
Dan, Thank you for the quick and throughout reply. First paragraph pretty much sums it up. Unless there is more will to guaranty (or provide under flag) stricter version of IEEE adherence, I doubt much can be done. So all of you with picky customers out there J Is there anyone else that would be concerned about this problem in any of it potential forms? Sergei --- Qualcomm

newnotsys
Hi, I have a dynamic network (ospf) connecting different locations over frame relay (wan). Each location frame relay access device is actually a linux box running shorewall, zebra with a sangoma card. As a backup I have added to some locations a DSL line which serves as a gateway to the Internet but also over which I have created VPNs to connect those locations using OpenVPN as a backup.

unique index violation on objectSid
Hi Valery, First thank you for this detailed information about your searches. I find them very interesting. Here I'm thinking of two workarounds. The first one would be to list deleted objects RIDs, to verify RID=2002 is really the last one used, being sure there is no deleted object with RID=2003 and so on. Then once you get the last RID used, you could change RidNextRid to match this

Speex split across processors?
Hi, First, depending on how much your particular core gets done in one cycle, it is possible that Speex can encode in real-time on a 60 MHz (can't guaranty, of course). The main thing to watch here is the speed of the multiplier. As for parallel encoding, the first thing is that you can't just encode every other frame on each CPU. That's because of the encoder memory. Also, most of

gluster-rest, a RESTful web api server for gluster
Hey everyone, I did a quick hack in go about a month ago and gluster-rest was the outcome. You can find it at https://github.com/kshlm/gluster-rest The program is basically a wrapper around the gluster cli. It translates incoming requests to the correct gluster cli command, executes the cli command with the '--xml' parameter to get xml output and returns the xml document. For eg, For

Restful routes, not repeating yourself and non-standard rest actions best practices
So I''ve recently started playing with the restful routes support in edge rails, converting a few of my controllers to support all the standard operations.. One thing that''s been bothering me, however, is the following: Before using restul routes, I would define an edit method in my controller which would be responsible for both creating new objects as well as editing
