OpenSUSE 11.4 (2.6.39-30.1), Xen 4.0.2 - Device 0 (vif) Could not be connected
All, This is a fresh, un-f#$ked-with OpenSUSE install after adding the Tumbleweed repository and doing a dup. I installed the Hypervisor with Tools for which it prompted me for Xen or QEMU and I chose Xen. No bridge was made. When I go to create a fully virtualised machine, it nao has the error: Error: Device 0 (vif) could not be connected. Could not find the bridge, and none was specified.

bridge + arp
Hi, this is propably bridge related and not really a xen problem, but it might help someone: Some of our domUs are not able to arp. Arp -n show (incomplete), and doing a tcpdump shows, that on the dom0''s eth0 the arp request goes out, the response comes in, but on the vifX.0 interface the arp response is gone. dom0# tcpdump -ni eth0 arp who-has 10.32.2.51 tell 10.32.7.70 arp reply

snapshots with virsh in a pacemaker cluster
Hi, i have a two node cluster with virtual guests as resources. I'd like to snapshot the guests once in the night and thought i had a procedure. But i realize that things in a cluster are a bit more complicated than expected :-)) I will shutdown the guests to have a clean snapshot. I can shutdown the guests via pacemaker. But then arises the first problem: When i issue a "virsh

Re: snapshots with virsh in a pacemaker cluster
Pacemaker always knows where its resources are running. Query it, stop the domain, then use the queried location as the host to which to issue the snapshot? macvtap and tagged VLANs to the VM
Hi, I would like to run a network firewall as a VM on a KVM host. There are ~ 25 VLANs delivered to the KVM host on three dedicated links, no LACP or other things. I have the VLANs 100-180 on the host's enp1s0, the VLANs 200-280 on the host's enp2s0 and the VLANs 300-380 on the host's enp3s0. To save myself from configuring all VLANs on the KVM host, I'd like to hand the entire

Is it possible that "virsh destroy" does not stop a domain ?
Hi, Is it possible that "virsh destroy" does not stop a domain ? I'm asking because i have some domains running in a two-node HA-Cluster (pacemaker). And sometimes one node get fenced (killed) because it couldn't stop a domain. That's very ugly. This is also the reason why i asked before what "virsh destroy" really does ? IIRC a kill -9 can't terminate a
