Re: vnc client for libvirt from os x?
By default, libvirt doesn't allow remote access for the client vnc connections.
I use X-forwarding trough ssh like this:
- Install openssh on the host
- Install a vnc-client on the host
- Connect from your mac to the host trough ssh like this: ssh -X -C -l {login} {host-address}
- Start the vnc-client
I'm not sure dough if X-forwaring is possible on a mac...

vnc client for libvirt from os x?
id like to access libvirt kvm consoles from my macbook. i tried
realvnc, which just crashes immediately, and the built in "screen
sharing" client, which insists on a password, which i havent set.
does anyone here do this? which vnc client do you use?

Re: vnc client for libvirt from os x?
os x comes with openssh, and some other nixy goodness. the rest you
can get at brew.sh.
when i ssh -Y into the host, ill just virt-manager or virt-viewer, but
the x server on os x comes with some baggage and silly annoyances like
"helpfully" trapping the mouse with a release combo thats hard to deal
with from os x. running a vnc client over os x would still come with
baggage and

VNC Server in libvirt
My name is Jaime Loureiro and I work in the Network & Applications area in
University of Vigo. I am writing to you hoping you can help me with some
libvirt graphics issues.
I was analysing the source code of the libvirt in order to find how to
access the display of each virtual machine. We are trying to generate a
video streaming from the graphics content, though it is not easy to find

Unable to change guest vnc port in libvirt
Hi all!
I set in XML
<graphics type='vnc' port='5901'/>
But Libvirt assign first free port from 5900 and take 5900. Anb block
access to host console vnc (tightvnc-server-module).
Console access need not frequently. I do
# service libvirt-guests stop;killall Xorg; service libvirt-guests start
But it dirty hack
Im use Fedora 13
# env LANG=en_US virsh version

a VNC client suitable to monitor 15 desktops in 1 screen, automatic reconnect. Exists?
Hello,
Is there a VNC client out there that can permit me to run it 15 times
simultaneously and scale them smaller so that I can view 15 little
remote screens (at the same time) in my one big monitor?
Also, is there a way to make it so if the PC is rebooted the client
automatically reconnects ?
The goal of this is to have one big monitor to view in realtime what
people are doing in their PCs.

XEN 4.2.2: How to enable vnc-tls to make vnc sessions secure?
I am using XEN 4.2.2 source compile. Does XEN''s configure enable by
default QEMU''s --enable-vnc-tls? After I start a guest, I don''t see on
QEMU''s command line that it has started tls vnc ...
In /etc/xen/xend-config.sxp we can find the option:
(vnc-tls 1)
After reading, I figured out that you must create /etc/xen/vnc and put
certificates there? I also

vnc console from Mac
Hi,
I''ve run into a problem, and no amount of Googling seems to help.
I''m running Xen 3.4 and have the consoles of my DOMUs setup to be VNC. I can connect to them just fine from Chicken of the VNC etc etc. I cannot, however, connect using the built in vnc client using vnc://machine_name:59XX. I''m running os X 10.6.3 BTW
Has anyone found a way around this?

VNC-Server HowTo
Gerald and P.J.,
I just finished setting up VNC services following
http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/VNC-Server
and have a few comments.

The last line should be corrected from
VNCSERVERARGS[1]="-geometry 800x600"
to
VNCSERVERARGS[3]="-geometry 800x600"

vnc for non-root
At work I've been asked to set up vnc for a remote user (a vendor
sysadmin to install 3d party software we've purchased). Of course I'm a
bit skittish about allowing root access to this. Is there a way to
configure vnc so that root cannot log in through it...? Or do I have to
use some other utility to deny root access (e.g., securetty).
Thanks, folks.
