Performance tuning questions for mail server
Hi, I have a fedora15 x86_64 host with one fedora15 guest running amavis+spamassassin+postfix and performance is horrible. The host is a quad-core E13240 with 16GB and 3 1TB Seagate ST31000524NS and all partitions are ext4. I've allocated 4 processors and 8GB of RAM to this guest. I really hoped someone could help me identify areas in which performance can be improved at both the guest and

Anyone using SCO 3.2v4.2 with Samba 1.9.18p3??
SCO Unix 3.2v4.2 Samba 1.9.18p3 Problem with I_STR/SIOCGIFCONF I haven't a clue what is wrong here... We compiled samba 1.9.18p3 using GCC and everything is working pretty much okay. However, when we start the nmbd server we get an error message: > 03/22/1998 10:19:15 netbios nameserver version 1.9.18p3 started > Copyright Andrew Tridgell 1994-1997 > doing parameter log level = 3

[PATCH v2] vdpa: make vhost, virtio depend on menu
If user did not configure any vdpa drivers, neither vhost nor virtio vdpa are going to be useful. So there's no point in prompting for these and selecting vdpa core automatically. Simplify configuration by making virtio and vhost vdpa drivers depend on vdpa menu entry. Once done, we no longer need a separate menu entry, so also get rid of this. While at it, fix up the IFC entry: VDPA->vDPA

logistic regression and 3PL model
Hello colleagues, I am a novice with R and am stuck with an analysis I am trying to conduct. Any suggestions or feedback would be very much appreciated. I am analyzing a data set of psi (ESP) ganzfeld trials. The response variable is binary (correct/incorrect), with a 25% base rate. I've looked around the documentation and other online resources and cannot find how I can correct for

problem compiling R-1.9.0beta with PGI compilers on amd64
Dear R-devel, I'm trying to compile R-1.9.0beta (2004-03-31) with the PGI compilers (15-day free evaluation: after the 15 days the binaries will stop working). I'm running into some problems, that I hope some can offer pointers. 1. After configure, the FLIBS include /usr/local/lib' --- note the extra '. I had to manually delete it in a couple of places. Bugs compiling R-1.7.1 with Intel compilers icc and ifc (PR#4295)
Bugs compiling R-1.7.1 with Intel compilers icc and ifc, on x86-computer (Pentium IV) and linux operating system Hello, as there aren't many reports about that issue, I'll give a little report here. (Hope I don't bother anyone) The best thing about using icc and ifc are the warnings, because it is said that the Intel compilers are stricter and give more precise warnings than gcc.

logistic regression and 3PL model
Hello colleagues, This is a follow up to a question I posed in November regarding an analysis I was working on. Thank you to Dr. Brian Ripley and Dr. John Fox for helping me out during that time. I am conducting logistic regression on data set on psi (ESP) ganzfeld trials. The response variable is binary (correct/incorrect), with a 25% guessing base rate. Dr. Ripley suggested that I

[PATCH] gr/nv3x: add 0x0597 kelvin 3d class support
Tested on a NV34. There are reports of this also working on the other nv3x chips. Largely useful for testing software written for NV2x without having the actual hardware available. Signed-off-by: Ilia Mirkin <imirkin at alum.mit.edu> --- Not sure whether nv30/nv35 have 0x0097 or 0x0597. Even though their respective class numbers are lower, it's still believable they'd support
