libvirt_lxc: SELinux MCS
Hello list, my name is Matteo, i'm new on that list. I'm working on a multitenancy platform with linux containers through libvirt on a production system with Red Hat 6.4. Every container run a separate instance of OpenSSH and Apache HTTPd and I need to give root privileges to the developers and I try to configure SELinux using svirt and MCS. I try the secmodel type dynamic and static in

libvirt-sandbox question.
I hope this question isn't considered too off topic for this list, I am trying to reach the libvirt-sandbox developers, but I could not find a libvirt-sandbox specific mailing list, and it seemed to me that libvirt-sandbox was a part of libvirt itself. I am trying to port libvirt-sandbox to run on a CentOS 6.5 system. This wasn't too hard but, I had to do the following: I have used the

VMs fail to start with NUMA configuration
I am using libvirt 0.10.2.2 and qemu-kvm 1.2.2 (qemu-kvm 1.2.0 + qemu 1.2.2 applied on top plus a number of stability patches). Having issue where my VMs fail to start with the following message: kvm_init_vcpu failed: Cannot allocate memory Following the instructions at http://libvirt.org/formatdomain.html#elementsNUMATuning I've added the following to my VCPU configuration: <vcpu

how to detect if qemu supports live disk snapshot
Hi everyone, Using the QEMU hypervisor, when a live disk snapshot is requested through libvirt, the request can fail if the underyling qemu binary lacks the snapshotting support. In python, we have something like libvirtError: Operation not supported: live disk snapshot not supported with this QEMU binary I'd like to detect ahead of time if the underlying QEMU can or cannot do

libvirt on armhf with selinux driver
hi, recently i've been busy with libvirt(d) v1.2.0 on armhf and i see, even if selinux sec driver is enabled on the configure stage, the driver is not finally created. these configure parameters are: --with-selinux --with-secdriver-selinux --with-selinux-mount=/sys/fs/selinux the /sys/fs/selinux is valid, selinux is running in permissive mode, got also libselinux DEV package installed, so

Suggesting patch to link DOIs against secure resolver
Dear Madams and Sirs, because the DOI foundation recommends a new, secure resolver [1], I wanted to suggest the attached patch. It a) updates a static DOI link in the docu, b) the code chunks that generate new ones, and c) a reg-ex that detects DOI links. Hopefully, my first venture into SVN & patch files was done correctly. My apologies, if there is anything amiss. In that case, I'll

linear contrasts for trends in an anova
Hi everybody, I'm trying to construct contrasts for an ANOVA to determine if there is a significant trend in the means of my groups. In the following example, based on the type of 2x3 ANOVA I'm trying to perform, does the linear polynomial contrast generated by contr.poly allow me to test for a linear trend across groups? doi=data.frame( Group=c( rep(1, 5), rep(2, 5), rep(3, 5),

How to find the root causes of compiler bugs in practice?
Hi, developers, Recently, I read two papers [1], [2] about finding the root causes of compiler bugs. However, I do not find any information in these paper about how compiler developers find the root causes of compiler bugs in practice. So I am curious whether these techniques are useful in practice. For my experience, the outputs of compilers are always used to isolate the causes of compiler

[PATCH][RESEND] PV drivers for HVM guests
I am enclosing the patch I have been working on. I have tested this on sles9 (2.6.5) and RHEL 4 (2.6.9). The patch applies cleanly on ChangeSet 11635. This patch was cleaned up based on Ian''s and DOI''s work. Signed-off-by: K. Y. Making a package CITATION file from BibTeX
Dear Colleagues, I would like to provide a CITATION file for my package nat.nblast [1]. I have the correct citation in BibTeX format [2]. How can I convert this BibTeX to the format needed by R for a package CITATION file (I have a lot of other packages needing citations ...). I think what I need is the opposite of RefManageR::toBiblatex [3]. This seems like it should be a common need, so I
