Host information from libvirt KVM/Xen
Hi, I'm able to get the CPU utilization metrics from libvirt for the guests (VM's) remotely . Is it possible to get the Host Cpu stat's through libvirt ? I didn't find any information regarding the host cpu cycles and memory utilization to collect them remotely. Libvirt is installed on all the hosts. Using qemu+ssh on openSUSE 13.1/Tumbleweed
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi everyone, I am trying to get libvirt with qemu-kvm to work on my machines running openSUSE 13.1 / Tumbleweed. My question is in regard to using qemu+ssh, which would be my preference, as I already have a working ssh-key authentication with SSH-Agent. I set the permissions of the manage-socket to 0770, added my user to the libvirt group and set

[libvirt] virDomainMemoryStats call
Hi, Is the array mstats returned by virDomainMemoryStats call cummulative or snapshot of the counter at that particular time ? I was of the opinion that is cummulative like the /proc counters but this counter seems to go backwards ie next snapshot value is less than the current one which makes me think these are snapshot values . I'm using RHEL 6.3 libvirt version 0.9.10. Regards,

Samba client issues
Hello everyone, I am a newbie to samba. I am trying to mount a Windows 2000 share directory on my linux box using smbmount. I am able to do so successfully. But I do see some errors pop up when I run the command. My mount seems to be stable and it is mounted as rw. # smbmount "//EngineerWKS85/My Drivers" /mnt/samba -o username=MyUsername, password=MyPassword, workgroup=MyWorkgroup

Avoid loop with the integrate function
Dear R users, I am running a loop with the integrate function. I have pasted the code below. I am integrating a function from time=0 to the time value in every row. I have to perform this integration over thousands of rows with different parameters in each row. Could someone please suggest if there is an efficient/faster/easier way to do this by avoiding the loops ? Thank you so much for your

AD Auth Trusted Domain issues
I have been killing myself on this issue over the last 2 weeks. I have setup pam AD authentication using winbind on our companies email servers. That part is currently working. I have been trying to add an existing "Trusted" child domain and allow authentication from that domain as well. I am part of the way there, but not quite to the functional point as of yet. Our primary domain

PAM authentication fails
Hi, I'm fighting all weekend on with auth and pam to authenticate local system users. testuser is such local user and is in passwd and shadow. I want to have local system users (testuser is one of them) and virtual users. The virtual part works fine but I cannot get the local user to connect. Still pam fails finding the user. The suggested password mismatch at the end is, in my eyes,

Home-Shares are not writeable
Hello everyone! After running Samba on several machines for some years, I just came accross a rather strange problem. The short story is that the special user home shares are readable, but not writeable. Here's the long story: The system is a freshly set-up Debian Squeeze, right out of the box. This is the Samba config: -------------------------------- 8<

Winbindd and SSH (just disconnects after login)
It looks like I've gotten the majority of things working in regards to Winbind. Users are being authenticated by the NT4 PDC when connecting to shares, but I can't seem to get things set up correctly to allow logging in via SSH(OpenSSH_3.6.1p2, SSH protocols 1.5/2.0, OpenSSL 0x0090702f). It appears as though I'm successfully authenticated by the PDC, but then the connection is

Make a share owned by a service account available to members of an AD group
No joy. I added winbind to the passwd, shadow, and group lines and it is still not working. I also switched back to ad instead of rid (I deleted the Samba database files in /var/lib/samba and rejoined the domain when I switched), and still the same. If the account exists locally I can authenticate against AD and map the share. No local account and it fails. -Mark
