Errors creating Domu with xl/xm on Xen 4.1.5 with Fedora Dom0
I want to get couple of DomUs running with Xen. I installed Xen 4.1.5 from source on a Fedora 17 Dom0. I did some reading on configuring DomUs using xl/xm and cfg files. http://www.fclose.com/b/linux/2544/setting-up-lvm-backed-xen-domu/ http://www.fclose.com/w/Setting_Up_Xen_DomU_on_Fedora:_Unmodified_Fedora_on_Top_of_Xenified_Fedora_Xen_Dom0%23Install_Fedora_12_Linux_via_Internet So basically I

domU packet forwarding
Hello all, I''m in the process of installing my first Xen server. I have a dom0 installed (CentOS 5) with public & private IPs. I created a domU (RHEL 4). I left the networking setup at defaults, so I believe it''s using bridging; I have a virbr0 device in dom0 with an private IP on a new subnet, and domU has an IP on that private subnet. From the domU, I can ping dom0,

PVHVM example for xen 4.3.1
Hello, I'm looking for an example configuration for a PVHVM domU that works with 4.3.1. The one at http://wiki.xen.org/wiki/Xen_Linux_PV_on_HVM_drivers causes 3 warnings and some errors: WARNING: ignoring "kernel" directive for HVM guest. Use "firmware_override" instead if you really want a non-default firmware WARNING: ignoring device_model directive. WARNING: Use

rpcbind fails to start after creating virbr0 bridge
Hi, In my office I have an HP Proliant server running CentOS 7. It's a minimal install without GUI. The machine has two network interface cards, and for now it's acting as gateway/firewall, and it's running ntpd, Dnsmasq and Rsnapshot. I'd like this machine to also be a KVM virtualization host, so I installed qemu-kvm and libvirt. The interface facing the LAN is enp3s0, so I

Trouble creating DomU with 2 NICs
Hey folks, I created a DomU, installed Linux, and then realized I''d only given it 1 NIC so brought it down to edit the cfg file to give it another NIC. Originally I just had : vif = [''''] And so I guess the defaults worked for the 1 NIC. So I changed it to : vif =

Possible bug in Xen 4.2.1 when rebooting domU after save/restore
Hello, After saving and restoring a DomU (teste on the same server), doing a reboot to the newly restored domU will cause it to crash. This happens on PV and PVHVM domUs. I am using qemu upstream for the HVM guests, but I don''t really think it matters as long as PV guests behave the same. I want to confirm this if possible, before submitting a bug report and more details. I am using

CentOS 5.9 Xen DomU NFS Data Transfer to Dom0 kills network.
Greetings, I have problem using Dom0 as NFS(v4)-server and DomU as client. When ever the client actually tries to copy data to nfs-server the virtual network (bridge) between the two hosts completely freezes and stops working. After this of course the client hangs waiting nfs-server to answer and server continues to try to contact nfslock daemon on the client. Dom0 is still accessible from

Qxl problem with xen domU, is xen spice and/or qemu bugs?
I''ve been trying to have all spice features working on xen domUs since the end of 2011. Basic functions were already working. Adding qemu parameters manually for vdagent and usbredirection was and is also working (I made the patches to support them directly on xl). Qxl was never working: one bug on xen and one on qemu about qxl are fixed, the other xen bug found months ago on the

virtual networking - virbr0-nic interface
I need some help in understanding libvirt's virtual networking. I have configured bridged networking (shared physical device) on libvirt+KVM system which is working fine. Also, I am using default NAT network on with virbr0 bridge device and virbr0-nic. I would like to get better understanding on virbr0-nic works in this virtual network configuration. I understand that traffic from virbr0
