Transient permission denied errors when sending audit logs
Hi, In kubevirt we are running into a strange permission problem on libvirt-5.0. We see transient "Permission Denied" errors when "virAuditSend" wants to send an audit log. [1] shows the logs of one of these containers. Here an example: {"component":"virt-launcher","level":"warning","msg":"Failed to send audit message

ceph and libxl errors attaching device
Dear, I need to attach some ceph (0.94.6) block devices to our openstack (kilo) running instances (xen 4.4) . Nova is able to create volumes, attach a detach (alt least there are no errors) The hypervisor can see the blockdevice: # rbd -p volumes ls volume-xxxxxxxx-7342-434b-9xx1-d046bcxxxxfd And the instance xml seems to be ok: ................. <disk

I want to get a reference to this time series object
I'm trying to get a reference to this object in C SWX.RET[1:6,c("SBI,"SPI","SII")] While i am able to access and use a plain SWX.RET object, I'm getting confused on how to create an object with the array subscripts like above. Here is what I tried to do. It doesn't work because "[" is obviously not an operation or function on SWX.RET. So how do I

special video mode numbers
Keir, is there a particular reason you chose to use slightly different special mode numbers than Linux, ignoring VIDEO_CURRENT_MODE altogether? I think it wouldn''t be bad to be in sync with Linux here, and I independently think that having a way to avoid mode switching altogether is good to have in case of possible problems on exotic hardware. How do I access class slots from C?
Hi I'm trying to implement something similar to the following R snippet using C. I seem to have hit the wall on accessing class slots using C. library(fPortfolio) lppData <- 100 * LPP2005.RET[, 1:6] ewSpec <- portfolioSpec() nAssets <- ncol(lppData) setWeights(ewSpec) <- rep(1/nAssets, times = nAssets) ewPortfolio <- feasiblePortfolio( data = lppData, spec = ewSpec,

vlan tagging for openVSwitch
hi everyone, I'm trying to get vlans tagged in libvirt as my switch's end (yes traffic will be leaving the host and into network switches) allows only tagged vlans. But with network as such: ...   <portgroup name='vlan-55'>     <vlan trunk='yes'>       <tag id='55'/>     </vlan>   </portgroup> </network> and guest as:

libvirt + openvswitch, <parameters interfaceid='x'/> seems less-than-useful?
Hey folks, I'm working on setting up a Cuckoo sandbox malware lab at home, and can't seem to get openvswitch and libvirt to work together as-documented. I'm not subscribed to the list, so please reply-all. Thanks in advance! I've debugged this, and I think the interfaceid stuff in network XML isn't doing much besides setting a custom interfaceid in an OpenVSwitch table that

"failed to send audit message operation not permitted"
Hello, I have a remote ubuntu server on which I have a kvm hypervisor installed. Now, on my ubuntu desktop, I create a new connection with virt-manager and start a remote guest. The guest successfully starts, however I can't see it in the console and, on client side, I get that remote user closed it. Looking at the /var/log/libvirtd on the server side I get that error: "failed to send

Thank you, Laine for you time and patience to give me a detailed answer. I missed the interfaceid parameter in the docs, but now I didn't manage to get it working. > http://www.libvirt.org/formatdomain.html The docs state: "The Open vSwitch type virtualport accepts two parameters in its <parameters> element - an interfaceid which is a standard uuid used to uniquely identify
