nmblookup of client using bcast address fails
Hi,
I've been trying unsuccessfully over the past couple of days to get my

the troubleshooting guides I can't get the query of the client machine
to work using the broadcast address:

Using dlls for Windows provided in http://libvirt.org/sources/win32_experimental/Libvirt-0.8.7-2.exe
Hello libvirt-users,
could anybody tell me, whether we could use dlls provided in the experimental package for windows,
and distribute it with our application.
We would do the following:
a) Install the executable from http://libvirt.org/sources/win32_experimental/Libvirt-0.8.7-2.exe
on our production machine.
b) Add the dlls to the setup of our

Question about dhcpd.leases
Hi,
I'm running a DHCP server on my local network. I've noticed something
that puzzles me. Leases are written to /var/lib/dhcpd/dhcpd.leases, but
only - so it seems to me - if the address is not fixed in any way in
dhcpd.conf.
Here's a few stanzas of my dhcpd.conf :
host babasse {
hardware ethernet 00:0d:61:ae:6b:8f;
fixed-address 192.168.1.1;

Apache: confusion about virtual hosts and DNS on a local network
Hi,
I set up a webserver with Apache on one of the machines on the local
network. There's a DNS configured for the LAN, with a dummy domain name
(presbytere.local), and every machine is pingable by its hostname. The
webserver runs on the machine 'buildbox'.
The webserver actually has two (static) websites on it, for testing and
fiddling purposes. Each site's pages are stored

Live Migration of BS2000 DomU
Hi,
we (Fujitsu) are proud to announce the successful live migration of a BS2000
domU (pvHVM). The domU had 32 GB of memory, 8 active vcpus, an active LAN
connection and about 2500 FC-disks online. The domU had an active test load
on 8 disks running and several cpu intensive test jobs.
All BS2000 peripherals are connected via a special pv-driver handling all
devices with just one

Extra sheet after printing a job.
At the end of a printerjob in my HP-DJ895Cxi and HP-1100A in
my samba-server (SuSE Linux 8.1) an extra -blank- sheet is
comming out of the printers.

I know the problem has been on the list before, and can also
see how to solve it, but there's a problem. From default the
SuSE 8.1 is installed with cups, and I wanted to

Touchpad doesn't work with C6, kernel-related...
Hi folks! :-)
I have a Fujitsu Lifebook U series laptop running updated CentOS 6.4
(64bit), and the touchpad doesn't work. It's a new laptop, the touchpad
works correctly in Fedora 18 Live (given the kernel parameters below),
no hardware problems.
I searched the web all around, and it's a known issue for several
laptop models. The only solution, quoted everywhere, it is to append the

Installing Cent OS from a usb flash drive
I recently acquired a Fujitsu Lifebook 1610. Unfortunately, the
machine was missing a lot of the stuff that would've come with it brand
new, mainly the usb cdrom drive.
Currently, I'm running Fedora on it, and I installed it using a
usb flash drive with the help of a program called unetbootin(Probably
not spelled right). to load the ISO onto the USB drive. I've
successfully used

Deleting certain observations (and their imprint?)
I'm manipulating a large dataset and need to eliminate some observations based on specific identifiers. This isn't a problem in and of itself (using which.. or subset..) but an imprint of the deleted observations seem to remain, even though they have 0 observations. This is causing me problems later on. I'll use the dataset warpbreaks to illustrate, I apologize if this isn't in

[LLVMdev] MCELFStreamer subclassing
So what I am hearing is that I should add the following to MC/MCFixup.h:

FK_GPRel_2, ///< A two-byte pc relative fixup.
FK_GPRel_4, ///< A four-byte pc relative fixup.

In MC/MCStreamer.cpp MCStreamer::EmitGpRel32Value()
Figure out how to mark it with the imprint of

Centos 3.6 - unable to configure X
I am trying without success to configure X on a Siemens Laptop Lifebook
E8020D.
Does anyone have a working XF86Config file that I can try as all I see
when starting X is a black screen. I think the problem is down to the
monitor not being detected correctly but am unsure how to fix.
Thanks

Yukon NIC - again
Hello.
I have the same problem as many others, PXELINUX (or rather menu.c32)
does not work with Marvell Yukon 88E8055 cards. I have two machines,
Fujitsu LIFEBOOK S7110 and P7230 that have the same problem; menu.c32
will not load.
The version of Marvell's base code is 1.10.1.3 (20060516), Yukon PXE
v5.14.1.3 (20060704), in the machines I have tested. I have tried

late lapic timer interrupts for hvm guest
Hi,
When using lapic as timer source the hypervisor delivers timer interrupts
late.
In the source xen/arch/x86/hvm/vpt.c function create_periodic_time creates a
timer element with a "bonus" of 50% of the desired time until the interrupt:
pt->scheduled = NOW() + period;
/*

Backport requests of cs 23420..23423 for 4.0 and 4.1
Hi,
we are experiencing significant performance degradation after live migration of
hvm domains in Xen 4.0 (SLES11 SP1): after live migration the performance is
dropping to less than 90%. I did a backport of cs 23420-23423 and the
performance is okay now.
I would like to request to include these changesets in 4.0 and 4.1. The
backport is quite trivial, I can send patches if you are willing to
