tab key does not complete the package name or list the packages in apt-get command
i am using debian 6.0.7. in my other debian machines when i type "apt-get install sam<tab>" it give me all item start from sam and this is a default behavour. however now for some reason <tab> key is not working. is there anyone know why. note: for other commands <tab> key is working fine. i am using samba 3.6.5 with winbind.for active directory authentication there is a samba share folder name "Filesharing" and plethora of folders are inside it. i have been using 2.7 stable for more then 2 years with no problem however after my harddisk failure i had to restore data to new server. and install samba from zero , fortunately or unfortunately samba has been updated in debian

Urgent :) Procedure for replacing Gluster Node on 3.8.12
Status: We have a 3 node gluster cluster (proxmox based) - gluster 3.8.12 - Replica 3 - VM Hosting Only - Sharded Storage Or I should say we *had* a 3 node cluster, one node died today. samba home folder share
i am u sing AD integrated Samba with winbind,I need to share a samba home folder for every single user in my Active directory. since i dont wanna create every user's directory i want samba to manage it. however i dont wanna place the home folders on default path as the boot drive (/dev/sda) is very small to store the data, beside that, i do have storage /nas/users which is a mount point of my

Performance drop from 3.8 to 3.10
Upgraded recently from 3.8.15 to 3.10.5 and have seen a fairly substantial drop in read/write perfomance env: - 3 node, replica 3 cluster - Private dedicated Network: 1Gx3, bond: balance-alb - was able to down the volume for the upgrade and reboot each node - Usage: VM Hosting (qemu) - Sharded Volume - sequential read performance in VM's has dropped from 700Mbps to 300mbs - Seq Write

Hi Zsolt, looking at the metrics from Proxmox it doesn't look like anything breaks there. What about at the operating system level? Could there be some limits there? Have you checked corresponding kernel or system logs? Which OS/distribution are you using? Checked the logs there? If nothing screams there, maybe start looking at a load balancer and scale with several more VMs? -- Marius

So from the docs, I'm seeing this: "As of Fedora 16 there must be a biosboot partition for the bootloader to be installed successfully onto a disk that contains a GPT/GUID partition table, which includes disks initialized by anaconda.
