covariance matrix structure for random effect in glmmPQL
Dear all,
I'm using R function "glmmPQL" in "MASS" package for generalized linear mixed model considering the temporal correlations in random effect. There are 1825 observations in my data, in which the random effect is called "Date", and there are five levels in "Date", each repeats 365 times.

WakeUp XEN-VMs
Hello,
is there any chance to wake up XEN-VMs via WOL?
Or something like a wol-proxy/relay on dom0 to accomplish this task....
Best Regards,
Thomas

system wakeup caused by write operations to /var/lib/dovecot/instances
Hi, I hope someone can help me with this.
Problem
Dovecot writes to _/var/lib/dovecot/instances_ 1 up to 3 times a day,
causing the system to wake up and disks to spin up.
Details
content of /var/lib/dovecot/instances :

fetchmail wakeup
Does someone know, if in the new release of dovecot 2.x.x there is a feature
implemented, that wakes fetchmail or any other program on a client request,
or is the "fetchmail wakeup" plugin still the only way to do this (at least
I've not found any other, and that plugin never worked for me),..

Recurring Wakeup Call Schedule & play Weather Forecast
I use Asterisk as a wakeup service for home and regularly dial for weather
forecast after waking up. I'd like to be able to setup a recurring wakeup
call M-F and have it play the weather forecast rather than moh. I'm using
AAH that has had all components recently upgraded. Has anyone done this sort
of thing?
Thanks,
David

Countvariable for id by date
Best R-users,
Here’s a newbie question. I have tried to find an answer to this via help and the “ave(x,factor(),FUN=function(y) rank (z,tie=’first’)”-function, but without success.
I have a dataframe (~8000 observations, registerdata) with four columns: id, dg1, dg2 and date(YYYY-MM-DD) of interest:
id;dg1;dg2;date;
1;F28;;1997-11-04;

making wakeup feature call phone number, not extension?
How would one go about setting up the wakeup feature of Asterisk to NOT
call an extension, but to call a phone number?
My setup works great for wakeup on local extensions, but I'd like to set
it up to call external phone numbers automatically and play a specific
sound file (to remind people of upcoming hair stylist appointments).
I suppose either there'd have to be a web interface to

cups printing to a remote network
Everyone,
I have an need to be able to print to an HP1320 that is usb connected to
a Fedora 17 desktop on a remote network from a Centos 5.8 cups print
server on an internal network. The desktop is in a remote network that
belongs to to a different client than the one owning the cups print
server.
The F17 usb HP1320 connection works fine, and I can also get the F17
system to poll the cups

After a 'virsh blockpull', 'virsh snapshot-list --tree' o/p does not reflect reality
Hi (Eric?),
A couple of questions while using the 'virsh blockpull'
Summary:
1] Created snapshots this way: base<-snap1<-snap2<-snap3 (online, external snapshot
--disk-only)
2] I did a 'virsh blockpull' from snap2 into snap3
3] Next, did another 'virsh blockpull' from snap1 into snap3
- Here, 'qemu-img info /path/to/snap3' shows its backing file

Windows XP sees fedora14/samba3 shares but not fedora20/samba4 shares
Marc, et al,
Thanks for your reply. Sorry, I didn't mean to be confusing.
Summary of problem:
1) XP sees samba shares on fedora14/samba3 machine, but not on
fedora20/samba4 machines.
2) all fedora machines see all shares including on XP machine.
3) clicking on f20 machine from XP tries to log in rather than showing
the shares. Login is not successful.
4) all machines can ping each
