Samba follow sym links
Hi
I have some problems with samba 3.5.6 on debian lenny.
I have symbolic links in some shared directories, and samba should
follow these links.
Without any special config entries, my smb client just list sym links to
folders as unknown files:
? l????????? ? ? ? ? ? myfolder
With the following configuration:

consistent results with heatmap.2
Hi,
I am trying to create a heatmap with some specific requirements. Specifically,
I need to be able to center the color-scale around 0, and I need to truncate the
data so that a few extreme values do not cause the rest of the heatmap to appear
black (on a red/green scale).
After reading through and experimenting with heatmap, heatmap.2, heatmap_plus,
and heatmap_2, I believe heatmap.2 will

Geo-replication broken in 3.4 alpha2?
Dear all,
I'm running GlusterFS 3.4 alpha2 together with oVirt 3.2. This is solely a test system and it doesn't have much data or anything important in it. Currently it has only 2 VM's running and disk usage is around 15 GB. I have been trying to set up a geo-replication for disaster recovery testing. For geo-replication I did following:
All machines are running CentOS 6.4 and using

What is connect-debounce wrt usb?
I get the following message on a Centos 5 system (really a Trixbox 2.4

Batch-Plot Histograms
Hi everyone,
anybody’s got an idea why the following script doesn’t produce batch-histograms?
I’m using Windows XP and R 2.5.1.
Here’s the script:
matrix<-read.csv("C:\\Stadtwerke_mit_Umlage.csv", header=TRUE,sep=";",dec=".")
Stadtwerke<-colnames(matrix)
Bereich_blau<-66.67
Schleifen<-dim(matrix)[2]

chan_mobile problems
I built asterisk-trunk at 92526 and asterisk-addons-trunk at 496. I have my
Bluetooth cell phone connected. It almost works.
In mobile.conf, I have "context=incoming-mobile" for the phone, and that
looks like:
context incoming-mobile {
_. => {
VoiceMail(9999,b);
Hangup();
};
}
Calls to the cell phone get directed answered by Asterisk and directed

varIdent error using gam function in mgcv
Hello,
As I am relatively new to the R environment this question may be either
a) Really simple to answer
b) Or I am overlooking something relatively simple.
I am trying to add a VarIdent structure to my gam model which is fitting
smoothing functions to the time variables year and month for a particular
species. When I try to add the varIdent weights to variable Month I get this
error returned.

Those threads do not cause any problems, the host is dealing with a lot
of them and has no problem (CPU usage and load is incredibly low in
practice). Thank you for the clarification, I see why are there more
threads

Lots of threads and increased IO load
Hello guys,
We have a lot of small computers on top of two servers running QEMU/KVM
virtualisation with libvirt. In this case, most of the VMs are not doing
much work, some of them barely touches any "hardware" resources.
I have two problems, they might be connected.
When I do a bigger IO job on one of the VMs (like downloading files to
local disk) all other VMs' IO load

Dealing with heterogeneity with varComb weights
Hi,
I am trying to add multiple variance structures such as the first example
below:
vf1 <- varComb(varIdent(form = ~1|Sex), varPower())
However my code below will not work can anybody please advise me?
VFcomb<-varComb(varExp(form=~depcptwithextybf),varFixed(form=~FebNAO))
also if you have two variables with the same weights function would you
write that as:

Accessing ISDN with avm bluetooth hardware
Hi *,
This is my first message to this list, so I hope I am not breaking any rule with my post.
My question is the following: can I establish a voice connection over an ISDN interface by using a
bluetooth dongle to connect to the ISDN access point?
Here follow the details:
I have compiled and configured asterisk. Everything seems fine except that when I configure
asterisk to use the ISDN
