Adjust disk image migration (NBD)
Hi all,
As I am doing some tests with qemu, I realized that the way it does
'migrate -i tcp:DEST:444' is not the same as 'libvirt migrate
--copy-storage-inc'. Basically qemu uses the same stream as RAM
migration and libvirt takes advantage of NBD transfer.
With virsh migrate-setspeed I observed that one can only control the
transfer throughput of RAM, but not disk

First & long question
Hello everybody!
/(First I need to apologize becase I mussunderstood the prupose of
libvirt-list and I sent this mail there instead of this list)/
I would like to introduce myself, as this is my first contact with
libvirt mailing list (although I've been reading quite a lot of
documentation).
My name is Joaquim Barrera, from Barcelona, Catalonia. I am a computer

Using custom QEMU binaries with libvirt
Hi all,
I compiled a custom version of QEMU 2.0.0 and I am having hard times to
make it available to libvirt. Just to clarify, if I execute
/usr/local/bin/qemu-system-x86_64
it does performs good. But when I put this very same path to <emulator>
tag in a domain configutation, when i start the domain I get
error: Failed to start domain vm1
error: internal error: process exited while

If you are running virsh as sudo, then you must remember that virsh is
running under root, not you.

ssh - how to send password ?
Hi,
I'm trying to learn rsync and to aid this I'm trying some 'simple'
syncronising over the net using SSH. What I can't find clearly explained
in the docs is where to put the remote user password in the command line
argument.
For example I want to sync the two 'documents' directories - one on my
local Linux box and another on a server in my office. The command

Wine and SonicStage
Hi,
I've want to syncronise between Solaris and my MiniDisc, the application
database relating to wether SonicStage is inaccurate at best (unreliable
because some replies says it works, whilst others say no).
Anyone got any experience syncronising a Sony MZ-RH1, SonicStage 4.3 and
wine? (unless there is a native solution)

Hangs on multiple small files
I am running rsync on win9x (PIII 900, 128MB RAM) between a mapped
network drive and a local drive.
For small folders on this machine rsync works great, but the folder I
am syncronising with has 13GB of data and > 1,000,000 files. Out of
about 20 attempts rsync has only succeded once, all other times it
just seems to hang.
Not much info but any ideas?
Thanks

using virDomainMigrateSetMaxDowntime
I would like to use the virDomainMigrateSetMaxDowntime but I'm a bit
confused about how to use it.
If I try to set the downtime before I call domain.migrate(), I get the
error "domain is not being migrated". But I cannot call it afterwards
because domain.migrate() does not return until the migration has
completed.
Am I meant to put the call to domain.migrate() into a separate

Help Me to Adjust the R Code
Hi,
The following code, from Angelo Canty article on line "Resampling Methods in R: the boot Package, 2002", works fine for Angelo Canty using R 2.6.0 on Windows XP.
It also works for me using R 1.2.1 and S-PLUS 2000 on Windows XP after installing the S-PLUS bootstrap library, with slight differences in my outputs.
