Re: Information needed regarding the libvirt version libvirt-1.0.6-1
Hi Daniel,
Thanks a lot for providing us your pointers. From the domain.xml(attached
in my previous mail) which we have used for defining virtual guest i can
see below lines
<emulator>/usr/local/bin/qemu-system-x86_64</emulator>
We were using same domain.xml in eralier libvirt version and the execution
of cpu_stats command was successful. Now if we have to get
"cpu_stats"

FYI: SpecVirt results using libvirt + KVM
Some folks may be aware of the SpecVirt benchmark, where KVM is giving
the competition something to worry about :-)

the previously submitted results though, in that they have been invoking
the KVM command line directly. This has made it harder for people who are

FYI mail problems for libvirt lists
It has come to our attention that many, possibly even all, people with
non-redhat.com email addresses are unable to send mail to most libvirt
mailing lists, receiving bounce messages saying the address doesn't
exist eg

FYI: intention to remove mail subject prefix & footer text
Hi List Subscribers,
In recent months we have been seeing an increasing number of bounced
deliveries from libvirt mailing lists[1] due to DMARC policies on list
subscriber's mail servers. IOW, many subscribers are only receiving
a subset of mails sent to the libvirt mailing lists.
We believe the root cause of many of the problems is that mailman is
modifying the mail subject to add the

You are probably better off using PPC64 which is big-endian and much more
widely tested in libvirt than MIPS, so actually likely to work reliably.

Re: Information needed regarding the libvirt version libvirt-1.0.6-1
Hi Daniel,
Thanks for your immidiate reply. The starting of virtual guest was ok on
our machine. We are facing this issue while executing the "cpu-stats
<domain name>" command.
I have collected the debug logs as you suggested and attaching the same.

Libguestfs with Perl 6 :-)
I saw the latest parrot release notice on LWN this week and randomly
wondered the Perl6 native call interface was like compared to the
horrific mess that is Perl5 XS. The answer is that it is a thing of
beauty !
Here is the libguestfs hello world example in Perl6
$ dd if=/dev/zero of=guest.img bs=1M count=100
$ mke2fs guest.img
$ cat guestfs.p6
use NativeCall;
say "Defining stubs";
