vnetX interface name persistence
Hi!
I'm aware that (host side) vnetX are created when VM boots. But I'm trying to
figure out a way ti create a persistence in vnetX names. What I mean is,
say, I want to associate VMs vm0 to vnet0, vm1 to vnet1, vm2 to vnet2 and
so forth, no matter which order the VMs are booted. I looked around network
XML format, but did't find something...
Since I'm using Open vSwitch as

inverse.gaussian, nbinom
Two questions:
1. inverse.gaussian is up there as one of the glm families, but do
people ever use it? There is no inverse.gaussian in the R
distribution family, and when I checked McCullagh & Nelder, it only
appeared twice in the book (according to subject index), once in the
table on p. 30 and once on p. 38 in a passing sentence. Is there a
good reference on this distribution?

'puppet storeconfigs export' killed
Hi,
I currently have a MySQL database containing all Puppet storeconfigs. My
intention is to migrate to PuppetDB on a PostgreSQL server, so the first
step is to use the ''storeconfigs'' face to export all the DB to a file
PuppetDB can later consume. But the ''puppet storeconfigs export'' command
always ends up being killed, I suspect due to some sort of OOM

Libvirt-lxc and systemd question
Warning - I'm fairly new to libvirt, lxc and systemd so there is a good
chance I'm doing something terribly wrong here. However, instead of
continuing to struggle, I figured I would mail the list for some
advice. What I'm trying to accomplish is a libvirt-lxc, systemd-based
container running on my system (Fedora 19). I've read that sharing the
underlying OS filesystem with

Double fault panic in L2 upon v2v conversion
Hi everybody,
Wanted to hear your opinion and to receive a smart advice.
I'm trying to use virt-v2v in order to convert ova image (exported from
vcenter) to run on libvirt/kvm - all this inside a VM of fedora.
The converted image is also a fedora.
During the conversion process, in some point of libguestfs activity, I get
double fault panic from L2 (printed as part of libguest output) and the

Getting ERROR: parsing the volfile failed (No such file or directory) when starting glusterd on Fedora 19
I don't get this. I am using a freshly installed copy of Fedora 19 and starting up glusterd for the first time. The goal is to have a replicated directory on two systems. But for right now, I can't even start up the glusterd daemon right out of the box.
Trying to follow the Quick Start directions at http://gluster.org/community/documentation/index.php/QuickStart is, well, challenging.

Samba 3.5 loses local master browser election to Win7 32bits
Hi All:
I'm facing a weird behavior with Samba 3.5.10. It's a CentOS 6.3
repository RPM. Samba is acting as a PDC and integrated with OpenLDAP
2.4.23, also a CentOS RPM, through smbldap-tools 0.9.3 (from EPEL).
In my network I have Windows 7 64 bits and Windows 7 32 bits. The
problem is that Samba is losing local master browser 'status' to Win7
32 bits machines. From time to

Hi to all,
So I'm also a new user. I downloaded the program last week and I think it's great. Thanks to those who have developed R.
I have a special interest in GLM as a tool to describe fisheries and its variables and I'm just begging to study it.
As I could understand there's two types of GLM sun of squares: in "type I" the factors are added in sequence and

minimum kernel version for btrfsprogs.0.20?
Creating a btrfs file system using btrfs-progs-0.20.rc1.20130308git704a08c-1.fc19, and either kernel 3.6.10-4.fc18 or 3.9.0-0.rc3.git0.3.fc19, makes a file system that cannot be mounted by kernel 3.6.10-4.fc18. It can be mounted by kernel 3.8.4. I haven''t tested any other 3.8, or any 3.7 kernels.
Is this expected?

Libvirt "tc ingress qdisc" automatically removed by ovs vlan tag setting, how?
With outbound QoS setting in Libvirt XML, libvirt will add a tc
ingress qdisc for traffic shaping. Then if you set VLAN tag to that
tap device, this qdisc will automatically gone by no reason.
Could anyone shed some lights where should I look into? I'm really
confused and got no clue here. Thanks!
