Re: [Spice-devel] [virt-tools-list] Is virsh supposed to work on Windows?
Hey Fernando, 1) As a possible workaround, can't you put a Linux server with virt-manager installed somewhere, and then have the Windows sysadmins use it through X11 forwarding (with Xming, or Cygwin installed on the Windows machines)? 2) Also, if virt-manager can run under Cygwin, you can use it directly on the Windows machines that way (I don't know if it does). Cheers, iordan On

SELinux triggered during Libvirt snapshots
I recently began getting periodic emails from SEalert that SELinux is preventing /usr/libexec/qemu-kvm "getattr" access from the directory I store all my virtual machines for KVM. All VMs are stored under /vmstore , which is it's own mount point, and every file and folder under /vmstore currently has the correct context that was set by doing the following: semanage fcontext -a -t

Manage huge database
Hello, Recently I have been trying to open a huge database with no success. It’s a 4GB csv plain text file with around 2000 rows and over 500,000 columns/variables. I have try with The SAS System, but it reads only around 5000 columns, no more. R hangs up when opening. Is there any way to work with “parts” (a set of columns) of this database, since its impossible to manage it all

Succesfully set localhost server, now how can I do it public?
Hi! I want to host my own server on my very own PC. I tried to put my public IP and my private IP on the config file but it didnt work neither ways. How can I host an Icecast server that can go public around the world? I did it locally and it worked but right now I don't know what I have to do. Thank you! -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

Login batch file not working for Win7
HI I'm running samba3x-3.5.10-0.110.el5_8.x86_64 on a fully updated CentOS-5.8 system as PDC. We upgraded our lab machines to Win7 over the summer The logins work ok and the homes share is being mounted from a separate fileserver. However the login batch command script is not running. It's just a simple script which syncs the system time and mounts another share. Part of smb.conf

About NAS versus Samba
Hi there, Has anyone tried to configure a NAS server to authenticate users using a Samba PDC, or even a Samba4 DC (AD-compatible) or an IPA server? I'm evaluating replacing some Linux file server for a NAS product, but all them make me nervous when the vendor talks about "Active Directory support" and nothing else. In theory, many NASes are Linux boxes running samba, so there

Samba network shares over VPN
Hi there, I have two computers, one Windows XP other Windows 7 (actually a dozen each) which are members of a Samba domain. Users have no problem login in to the domain, running the login script to map network drives and accesssing files on them, for both computers. I want to give users remote access using a VPN (OpenVPN to be exact). The idea is to login on a disconnected computer using a

LLVM social in Sweden?
Hi all, Thanks for the answers! I've also received a couple of answers off-list, so there should be enough of us to get something rolling. I think we should start with something informal to get to know each other and see what our interests are etc. So, I've created a poll with a random slice of March here [1], so we can sync on the date / time. Please pick as many options as you can. The

samba virtual server x domain membership
Hi there, I have a samba server (version 3.6) named 'lnbxservcid' which is already a member of a domain whose PDC is another samba server (version 3.4). I'm using the standard samba3 packages from centos and from servnet (as CentOS.4 comes with only samba 3.0.x, but later CentOS releases came with samba3-3.4.x packages). I wish to create on the lnxservcid machine another samba
