Gamatronic UPS using nut 2.0.3
I have a Gamatronic Smart Compact 750.
I have it connected to my linux machine via serial cable and am running nut
2.0.3. There is no interruption in power, but the ups is reporting OB (on
battery). Is there a configuration option I am missing?
The relevant ups.conf entry is:
[Gamatronic]
port = /dev/ttyS1
desc = "Home Gamatronic UPS"
driver = genericups

Netscape/Mozilla: Windows plugins via Wine?
Many useful Netscape plugins don't come in Linux versions. Is it
possible to make my Linux copy of Netscape use Windows-compiled plugins?
If so, how?

SFTP: a new command to get filesystem size/free space
I am using sshfs with FUSE to mount a remote directory over ssh/sftp (on linux).
It would be nice if df could be able to show the total size/free space
of the mounted directory.
I am aware that returning size/free space would have some limitations.
For example, if a subdir of the mounted directory has another
filesystem mounted on the remote server, this can not be represented
simply.
However,

commands

con <- odbcConnect("MySQL", "test")
I get the following error:

debug package in R 2.4.0
Hi.
I recently upgraded to R version 2.4.0, and I have found that the
"debug" package no longer works. In particular, when I try to debug a
function, I get the following error message:
Error in attr(value, "row.names") <- rlabs :
row names must be 'character' or 'integer', not 'double'
I have, of course, taken all the necessary preceding

The text remains vertical. How can I change that. Thank's for your advice.
There is an example below.

FastCGI: comm with (dynamic) server ...../dispatch.fcgi aborted: (first read) idle timeout (30 sec)
Hello,
I just did a "gem update" on my server updating to the latest version.
After this none of my scripts work.
In apache error log I get:
FastCGI: comm with (dynamic) server
"/home/user/public_html/dispatch.fcgi" aborted: (first read) idle
timeout (30 sec)
My only guess is that the problem is related to the fastCGI binding but
I have no idea what to look for. I

SRTP vs ZRTP in Asterisk
Hi All,
I've been reading about Phil Zimmermann's ZRTP encryption scheme for
SIP clients. This seems attactive but I don't use soft phones. I'm
guessing that we'd need ZRTP support in Asterisk in
order to use it to secure calls from hard phones.
There seem to be issues with SRTP key exhange between various devices.
So much so that the IETF is working on a standardization

Cucumber/RSpec ::: Capybara? Webrat What am I using??
Hey everybody
I''m currently reading through the Pragmatic Programmers RSpec book, and
I really enjoy it.
But I’m facing some problems because of the fact that the book is
already some years old, I guess. I have installed rvm and use Ruby
1.9.3, and I didn’t really get some Rails code examples to work
properly, so I tried it with a 1.8.7 installation, but there I had some

Rails 0.13 failing on Win XP
Hi all,
Since 0.13 just got out, I decided to live a little on the edge and
upgraded my working 0.12.1 Rails apps to 0.13. Which made them crash
with a bang!
After a little investigation it looks like even a fresh app will crash
with a message: "allocator undefined for proc"... I''m on Win XP,
everything was fine under Rails 0.12.1
Any help would be highly appreciated.

This patch ports 5 new applications to the stubdom makefile structure
for inclusion into stubdom domains. While these are required for
vtpm-stubdom and vtpmmgrdom they could be used with other stubdom
applications.
-libgmp 4.3.2
-openssl 1.0.0a
-polarssl 0.12.1
-berlios tpm_emulator 0.6.1
-vtpm_manager (from the tools directory)

I hope you can help me!
