[RFE] Multiple ssh-agent support
Howdy! I've been working on a prototype that allows to do ssh-agent forward between a guest, using SPICE, and a spice client (remote-viewer/virt-viewer/spicy) The whole idea is to have something similar to "ssh -A guest", but integrated with the desktop environment. As a proof of concept I wrote a standalone ssh-agent that _unlink_ the current running agent in the guest machine and

virt-viewer and virt-manager problem
Hello, here is my problem : i migrated an old debian server, with kvm host and guests vm, on a new one (wheezy to jessie). Everything worked fine on this old server. On the new server, i created a storage pool, copy the qcow2 guests files (from the old server) inside this storage pool, copy the xml guests files (from the old server) to /etc/libvirt/qemu , then virsh define guests and virsh

Re: [Spice-devel] [virt-tools-list] Is virsh supposed to work on Windows?
Hey Fernando, 1) As a possible workaround, can't you put a Linux server with virt-manager installed somewhere, and then have the Windows sysadmins use it through X11 forwarding (with Xming, or Cygwin installed on the Windows machines)? 2) Also, if virt-manager can run under Cygwin, you can use it directly on the Windows machines that way (I don't know if it does). Cheers, iordan On

Re: virt-viewer and virt-manager problem
Helle and thanks for your answer You should never modify/update/create files under the /etc/libvirt/qemu directory. The correct way to do this is virsh dumpxml $domain > $domain.xml and virsh define $domain.xml. I didnt modify or create anything i just copied xml file from the old server to the new server Debug log from virt-manager (virt-manager --debug) would be helpful. Cf

virt-manager / remote desktop latency issues
Hi, I'm using virt-viewer to launch remote desktop connections The connection to the KVM host is using ssh The virtual machines/guests are running a GNOME desktop I've observed some latency issues, for example, changing focus from one terminal to another is a bit sluggish. Typing isn't too bad. The WAN connection is gigabit fibre from my home into a local data center. Ping times

CentOS6 virt-manager fails
I've been playing around with virt-manager. Set up a single vm and enabled autostart, then rebooted the host to test it. It does work, but I can no longer use virt-manager. virt-viewer works, though. 22:17:04,529 (cli:71): virt-manager startup 2012-02-02 22:17:04,530 (virt-manager:292): Launched as: /usr/share/virt-manager/virt-manager.py --debug --no-dbus 2012-02-02 22:17:04,530

How to tell spicy client to use SASL authentication?
I'm using libvirt in desktop environment. Single host machine, pair of users, a few guest machines. The first thought was that unix socket restricted to specific group is just enough for authentication. But virsh has the power like sudo: you could define pool on real device and write anything on it. So I decided to authenticate with password for each virsh use. I'm using SASL + saslauthd +

Open graphics connection with virt-manager problem
Hi, Actually, we study virtualization on CentOS with Xen, our goal is to test if the migration of Xen with SLES 11 to CentsOS. Our first tests are ok except for one problem and I don't find any solutions on the net. I hope, you can help me. The problem is that I can't connect to my vm desktop with Virt-Viewer. I follow the installation guide available for centos?:

virt-manager
so... I've been tinkering with KVM again. my desktop is windows, the linux server is remote, so I have a ssh X tunnel running, and XMing running locally, and launch virt-manager. opens fine, shows the VM I created some time ago. I select that VM (which is running centos 6), and 'open', a window opens for a few seconds, then blam, virt-manager exits before I can click on
