A Math question
Dear all, I admit this is not anything to do R and even with
Statistics perhaps. Strictly speaking this is a math related question.
However I have some reasonable feeling that experts here would come up
with some elegant suggestion to my question.
Here my question is: What is sum of all Integers? I somewhere heard
that it is Zero as positive and negative integers will just cancel
each other out.

List of all times zones in R
Hi all, in R I have?Sys.timezone() function to get the current working
Time zone. However I want to have a vector to get the list of all
available time zones, like say, LETTERS gives me all letters. Is there
any function like that?

Fetching data
Dear all R users, I am wondering is there any procedure exists on R to fetch
data directly from "http://www.ncdex.com/Market_Data/Spot_price.aspx" and
save it in some time series object, without filling any field in that
website.
Can somebody point me whether it is possible?

A question on Statistics
I am not a pure Statistics background and therefore please forgive me if
this question (which is not R related either) is too trivial.
In many Statistics literature I find following statement: "restrictions in
different coefficients matrices have to be imposed to ensure uniqueness of
the parametrization". Can somebody tell me what is the meaning of Uniqueness
in the parametrization?

rtp problem with 1.8.0-rdc1
Hi. I am having a very strange problem --aren't they all -- with the
release candidate. I have softphone which talks to asterisk from behind
nat -- the asterisk is on a public ip -- and when I hit mute on the
softphone, all rtp traffic ceases! Now, a version which does work is
r281875, this does not happen in that vrsion, but right after that this
strange thing starts and is not fixed in

I'm very happy to announce, that FAI (Fully automatic Installation)
now can install and configure CentOS and Scientific Linux Cern
(SLC). You can use a Debian FAI server for installing CentOS version 5
and 6 or SLC 5 and 6.
As an example I've also built a FAI multi-distribution CD which
installs those three different Linux distributions with different

Is anyone using FAI <http://www.informatik.uni-koeln.de/fai/> to
install DomU''s?
Our infrastructure is based heavily on using FAI for reproducing
server configs so consolidating servers would go much nicer if if we
could build the DomU''s with FAI.
I''ve not put too much effort into solving my problems yet as I hope

asterisk 1.8 codec negotiation
Hi. I am using asterisk 1.8 and everything was working fine when I was
at svn 342661. I then upgraded to vrsion 349339 and discovered the
following problem -- one of the end points is a freeswitch box which
offers a number of codecs, including PCMU. However, when I tried to
make a call I got a 488 response and a message "multiple audio streams
not supported" in the log.

Installation Package "gregmisc" nicht möglich?!?

Da ich R zur Erstellung meiner wissenschaftlichen Arbeit brauche versuchte ich dies heute zu installieren. Zunächst in der Vrsion 1.9.1 (rw1091.exe). Ich benötige das Package "gregmisc" und installierte dies von CRAN. Bei der Installation tritt folgende Meldung auf:
