virt-install fails on SXDE build 87
Hi. I have an AMD Athlon 64 X2/dual core processor and 2 gigs of ram running SXDE/87 (as far as I can tell, it''s on a ufs filesystem, not zfs). I''m attempting to install Vista from cd and the virt-install command fails with the same error regardless of what I do. I''m running this from my user (not root) account. I''m using qemu-img to create my hard drive images.

I'm trying to connect to vbox hypervisor on an Ubuntu 10.04 machine through libvirt java binding (libvirt-java-0.4.6) by simply invoking: Connect conn = new Connect("vbox:///session", false); but I got this exception: libvir: warning : Failed to find the interface: Is the daemon running ? libvir: Remote error : unable to connect to '/var/run/libvirt/libvirt-sock':

Status of Host machine.
Hi, Using libvirt how can we check the status of a remote/local host machine.. isAlive() method is giving true even if the internet connection is broken OR libvirt demon in the remote machine is being stopped. so isAlive() does not seems to be handy, Is there some other way to get the status of remote host..? Thanks -Sijo

[libvirt-1.3.2]'Disconnected from qemu:///session due to I/O error'
Hi. Since the update to libvirt-1.3.2, virsh keeps disconnecting from qemu:///session. Weirdly enough, qemu:///session works fine for root, and qemu:///system works for both the user and the root. With the same configuration(tarball with files from /etc/libvirt attached), libvirt-1.3.1 works without problems. From the virsh debug log(attached): --- grep error virsh.log.1.3.2 2016-03-03

Winbind doesn't honor rfc2307 data set in AD (Samba 4.3.6 on Debian jessie)
Hi all, I've just installed Samba 4.3.6 on Debian jessie amd64 (as described in the wiki [1]) and everything seems to work properly except for rfc2307 data that winbind doesn't retrieve from AD backend, shell is always "/bin/false", homedir is always "/home/DOMAIN/username" and "getent passwd" also lists user without unix attributes. I have configured idmap_ad
