[PATCH 0/5] Rename src/ to lib/ and move common code to common/
This patch series moves some files and directories around but is only
code motion (or supposed to be).
A new directory, common/, is created for all of the common code which
is currently shared in random ways between parts of the project.
And src/ becomes lib/ (the largest change, but mostly mechanical).
In full this series makes the following changes:
src/libprotocol -> common/protocol

[PATCH 1/3] build: remove extra libconfig linkage
Some of the C tools were building also config.c as part of the shared
sources from guestfish, and thus bringing a dependency on libconfig.
Since none of them actually read the libguestfs configuration at all,
then exclude fish/config.c from their build, and stop linking to
libconfig.

[PATCH v2 0/7] Rename src/ to lib/ and move common code to common/
Previous patch series was posted here:
https://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2017-January/msg00059.html
v2 simply extends this patch series to cover the extra directories
common/edit, common/progress, common/windows and common/parallel.
The only remaining item is to consider whether we should rename mllib
to something else, mlcommon was my suggestion.

I'm a little confused by this patch, and also worried that it may be
reverting commit 75514ab57a.
Does this require gettextize?

[PATCH 00/12] Refactor utility functions.
This turned out to be rather more involved than I thought.
We have lots of utility functions, spread all over the repository,
with not a lot of structure. This moves many of them under common/
and structures them so there are clear dependencies.
This doesn't complete the job by any means. Other items I had on my
to-do list for this change were:
- Split up mllib/common_utils into:

Re: enable build for ocaml bytecode
I believe this patch has now been superseded by Hilko's commit here:

[PATCH 0/3] virt-builder: copy local files instead of using curl
Hi,
this patch serie does a small optimisation in virt-builder, i.e. make
its internal Downloader just copy files when the source is a local URI,
instead of spawn curl in this case too.
Pino Toscano (3):
builder: isolate C libraries in an own OCAMLCLIBS
builder: prepare for different per-protocol download actions
builder: do a copy when downloading local files

[PATCH] virt-rescue rewrite in OCaml
Hi, I tried to rewrite virt-rescue from C to OCaml.
Goals were feature parity with C implementation, smaller codebase and
hopefully better maintainability. I still don't know if I've covered
everything right. So, please check it out.
PS: my git send-email seems to be broken, so I'm sending it from thunderbird
Thanks!

Re: [virt-tools-list] Statically compiling virt-rescue ?
I've added a few patches upstream to make static linking work, and it
is [surprisingly] possible to get it to work.
You'll have to check out libguestfs from git. Read the README file
very carefully, and get familiar with building from source. This is
easier on a recent Fedora machine or VM.
Once you are comfortable building libguestfs from source, configure it
like this:
./configure

The issue about code coverage for libguestfs
Hi,
I tried to do code coverage testing for libguestfs with gcov.
The steps are shown as follows:
1. Download and install the source package(libguestfs-1.36.5-1.el7.src.rpm)
2. Modify libguestfs.spec file
#diff -u libguestfs.spec libguestfs.spec.modify

[PATCH v5 00/32] Refactor utilities, implement some APIs in OCaml.
This is a combination of:
https://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2017-June/msg00046.html
[PATCH 00/12] Refactor utility functions.
plus:
https://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2017-June/msg00023.html
[PATCH v3 00/19] Allow APIs to be implemented in OCaml.
with the second patches rebased on top of the utility refactoring, and
some other adjustments and extensions.

Re: [virt-tools-list] Statically compiling virt-rescue ?
[Sorry - I didn't see this email until now as virt-rescue is part of
the http://libguestfs.org project and so normally uses a different
mailing list]

[PATCH v2] build: Drop serial_tests.
I pushed the (hopefully) completely non-controversial bits
upstream:
https://github.com/libguestfs/libguestfs/commit/8a72616bf7bc686ad4d033482541fcd73c148b53
https://github.com/libguestfs/libguestfs/commit/b20d36aa1bcabfe1e5eefcf47b727280a6474be8
This patch is what remains.

[PATCH v3] build: Drop serial_tests.
Same as v2, except:
- Drop the RUN_OUTPUT_FILE functionality completely. It will be
replaced with enhanced .trs files as discussed.
- Rebase on head.

[PATCH] use pkg-config to look up ncurses
Hardcoding -ltinfo breaks on distros that do not build the sep library
(which is the default ncurses behavior). Use pkg-config to look up the
right libraries regardless of how the distro built things.

[PATCH v2] fuse: Add guestunmount program to handle unmounting (RHBZ#916780)
Since the first patch:
- The program is now called 'guestunmount'.
- I tested the --fd option and it appears to work.
- You can now control retries / quiet.
- Revised man pages.
- Includes tests.
I'm just running through the automated tests now.

[PATCH v1 0/2] Implement guestfs_add_libvirt_dom.
This is only lightly tested at the moment.
For context see:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1138203#c40
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1075143
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1075164
Note this is not a complete fix. At least one more libguestfs patch
is required (to implement virDomainPtr in the python bindings). Plus
a virt-manager patch.
Rich.
