I had a look at how the Tiny Core Linux ISO is arranged. It loads the
main operating system root partition as a single large initramfs, with
optional modules loaded

guestfish zerofree on LVM ?
Hi-
Is it safe to use the zerofree utility on an ext4 partition inside an LVM
with guestfish? I know zerofree works on ext4, but I am unsure about LVM.
The info page uses the syntax "zerofree <device>", so using the info page
example, could I (safely) do something like the following?
$ guestfish

future time stamps warning
Time stamps are correct and my system time is correct.
I am now tried to use Sys.setFileTime() to update time stamps as proposed.
This does not help.
The windows and debian builds give different reports on the time stamp
issue.

future time stamps warning
Dear developers,
Upon CRAN submission I have bumped into "future file timestamps" warning
that I can't solve. I have updated the package as usual, and all checks go
through in my system. CRAN reports the following warning however.

Samba client filesize problems
Filesize problems with samba client on Redhat 9 and W2k machine.
The original smbclient did this so I upgraded to the latest, it didn't
help. The server is W2k with an NTFS volume, these are video files - the
windows software breaks the files at the 2G limit, but for some
reason some are reported as 2G others as huge !!
One day I might own 25T of disk, but not today.
Anyone any ideas ?

mdk 7.2, Upgrade 2.0.9 to 3.0.7, Help with ./configure
Mates,
In following chapter 35 "How to Compile Samba" I have looked at
./configure --help and I have a few questions. Originally I installed 2.0.9
via RPM, and of course there are no longer RPMs for mdk 7.2.
On 7.2, smbd and nmbd are installed in /usr/sbin. The docs are in
/usr/share/doc/samba-2.0.9. I don't know where the rest of the pieces of the
puzzle were scattered by

Hello,
I am running solaris 7 on a sparcstation 5. We want to test out the pdc
capablities on this test machine before we deploy this on our network. I
installed gcc version 3.2.2. untared the source and did
./configure ; make
everything seemed to go fine, but the source dir is over a gig in size
now. I did "make install", and ran out of disk space. this is what it was

ext3 bug?
Hi,
I have a severe filesystem crash on a machine with a single ext3 filesystem.
It is the second time that this happens to me (on two different machines that
are identical in hardware setup and mostly in software - I cloned them when
I started to work).
It looks like the journal (or something else, i am not an expert here) has
gone wild and overwritten loads of inodes. I have a single filesys

thanks.
I'm using: Debian lenny, updated.

Is it that difficult?
Hello,
You will find in attachment the layout of my
current physical configuration.
For now, the Cable ISP is not used. Since it
is a dynamic ISP, my mailserver is rejected and
my domain name registers on blacklists like ORDB
and al.
I want it to be used as a default gateway except
for my mail server that would be seen as coming
from my "honest" ADSL ISP.

I think so - 40.8 volts with a nominal of 36 volts is 13.6 V/cell, which agrees with the 100% charge value. Hopefully the line voltages and frequency make sense for your region.

net drive mapping not working in login script
I've set the path for each user in pdbedit and created a login script with drive mapping etc etc
The network drives aren't being mapped when I login each user:

cups options = raw
map to guest = Bad User

include/exclude: I miss the point

I thought I understand how include/exclude and their precedences work (I
read the user guide about this), but I seem to miss something.
I have 2 questions about this, separated by ======

I want to exclude the "hidden" directories except some sub-dirs or files:

Cannot activate Ogg plugin in XMMS
My machine is running RedHat Linux 7.3, and I believe it came with
vorbis 1.0rc3 by default. To my knowledge, I upgraded all libraries,
documentation, and binaries with 1.0 versions. it placed everything in
/usr/local whereas the old stuff was in /usr, so I manually deleted the
old stuff from /usr.
When I run 'oggenc', it does say: "OggEnc v1.0 (libvorbis 1.0)"
