[PATCH 19/27] daemon: Reimplement ‘list_filesystems’ API in the daemon, in OCaml.
Move the list_filesystems API into the daemon, reimplementing it in OCaml. Since this API makes many other API calls, it runs a lot faster in the daemon. --- daemon/Makefile.am | 2 + daemon/ldm.ml | 3 + daemon/ldm.mli | 2 + daemon/listfs.ml | 156 +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ daemon/listfs.mli | 19 ++++ daemon/lvm.ml | 3 +

[PATCH] listfs: If LDM not available, don't inhibit partition detection (RHBZ#1079182).
If a disk has type 0x42 partition (which would indicate LDM), but LDM is not available then try parsing the partition anyway. It might be parseable as plain old NTFS. --- src/listfs.c | 9 ++++++--- 1 file changed, 6 insertions(+), 3 deletions(-) diff --git a/src/listfs.c b/src/listfs.c index bbdb0a2..ffb0adc 100644 --- a/src/listfs.c +++ b/src/listfs.c @@ -47,8 +47,11 @@

[PATCH v5 2/3] daemon: list-filesystems: Don't list partitions which cannot hold file system.
From: Nikolay Ivanets <stenavin@gmail.com> The following partitions are filtered out: 1. Partitioned md devices (just as partitioned physical devices are filtered out). 2. Extended MBR partitions. 3. LDM Partitions (MBR and GPT partitions used by Windows Logical Disk Manager). 4. Microsoft Reserved Partitions (GUID E3C9E316-0B5C-4DB8-817D-F92DF00215AE). 5. Windows Snapshot Partitions (GUID

guestfs_list_filesystems: skip block devices which cannot hold file system
Initial discussion is here: https://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2018-January/msg00188.html. v2 was posted here: https://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2018-January/msg00246.html. v3 comparing to v2 is just a rebase with slightly changed commits comments.

[PATCH v2 1/3] daemon: Reimplement 'part_get_mbr_part_type' API in OCaml.
Instead of parsing 'parted' output OCaml implementation relies on the following facts: 1. The function is applicable for MBR partitions only (as noted in documentation and as function name suggests). 2. An attempt to call the function for non-MBR partition fails with "part_get_mbr_part_type can only be used on MBR Partitions" error and NULL is returned. 3. MBR partition table

[PATCH 00/67] Proposed patches for libguestfs 1.22.6.
In the kernel and qemu communities it is routine for patches that will be backported to stable branches to be posted for review. I'm proposing we do the same for libguestfs stable branches. All of the attached have been tested with 'make check-release'. Rich.

[PATCH] listfs: ignore the default btrfs subvolume
When listing the subvolumes of a btrfs filesystem, ignore the default subvolume: we get the content of it when mounting the whole device (without specifying any particular subvolume), so avoid listing it twice. --- src/listfs.c | 9 +++++++++ 1 file changed, 9 insertions(+) diff --git a/src/listfs.c b/src/listfs.c index 98e74c7..de3b6f5 100644 --- a/src/listfs.c +++ b/src/listfs.c @@ -169,8

[PATCH v3 00/19] Allow APIs to be implemented in OCaml.
v2 was here: https://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2017-June/msg00008.html This series gets as far as a working (and faster) reimplementation of ‘guestfs_list_filesystems’. I also have another patch series on top of this one which reimplements the inspection APIs inside the daemon, but that needs a bit more work still, since inspection turns out to be a very large piece of code.
