[PATCH v4 3/7] v2v: switch to ocaml-libvirt
Currently virt-v2v has few custom C-based functions for libvirt operations, which are limited in what they do, and there is a lot of duplicated code. Instead, switch to ocaml-libvirt for all the libvirt interaction currently done by the Libvirt_utils module. This has few advantages: - each input & output module now opens a libvirt connection only once, only when needed - no need to pass

[PATCH] RFC: v2v: add and use libvirt connection objects
Enhance the Libvirt_utils module with libvirt connection objects, and read-only and read-writen open functions for them; adapt the rest of the mini-binding to use these objects, instead of opening + closing libvirt connections every time. This has different improvements: a) a libvirt connection is reused for different API calls, improving the communication with remote (input) servers b)

[PATCH 2/2] Fix whitespace.
Because of previous automated commits, such as changing 'guestfs___' -> 'guestfs_int_', several function calls no longer lined up with their parameters, and some lines were too long. The bulk of this commit was done using emacs batch mode and the technique described here: http://www.cslab.pepperdine.edu/warford/BatchIndentationEmacs.html The changes suggested by emacs were

[PATCH v4 2/7] common: Bundle the libvirt-ocaml library for use by virt-v2v
Add a copy of the libvirt-ocaml library, currently available at: https://libvirt.org/git/?p=libvirt-ocaml.git;a=summary This is a snapshot at commit d3ed8dcf1b0a6a8a855ceecbe0bb97f21e6665e3, which has all the features we need (and that builds fine). It is expected to stay synchronized with upstream, until there is a new upstream release, and it will be widespread enough. --- .gitignore

Unable to convert vm
I am unable to convert a vm using virt-v2v. From the trace and debug logs I am unable to understand the cause of the problem. I assume it is a permission or configuration issue but I don't know where to start looking. The following command was issued: LIBGUESTFS_TRACE=1 LIBGUESTFS_DEBUG=1 virt-v2v -ic qemu+ssh://xxx at 192.168.xxx.xxx/system -o rhev -os 192.168.xxx.xxx:/mnt/exports -of

Ticket #190 (friendlier way to add / register a mime type)
Following up on #190 [1], I''ve just added a simple patch that allows the manipulation of the TYPES hash from within the Merb module. Use like: Merb.add_mime_type(:png,%w[image/png]) Merb.remove_mime_type(:png) It specifically disallows the removal of the :all MimeType, since content negotiation relies on it. I''m not super wonderful at API design, so comments and

Problems with shares after upgrading to 3.4.0
I'm running a lot of samba-servers (3.3.x) as AD members (security = ADS) here and they are working fine. For tests I updated one of my server to 3.4.0 and now have problems with lots of users accessing the shares.. Alltough there are still some users that always can access any share on the updated server, most of them cannot. Running samba with log level 3 gives the following logs (only

Incomplete attestation data for FIDO2 SKs?
I was recently looking at verifying the attestation data (ssh-sk-attest-v00) for a SK key, but I believe the data saved in this structure is insufficient for completing verification of the attestation. While the structure has enough information for U2F devices, FIDO2 devices sign their attestation over a richer "authData" blob [1] (concatenated with the challenge hash). The authData blob

DFS not working on Win XP
Hello, a heave a share on a samba server 3.6.3 that is used as a DFS-Root. The DFS Links a working on Client with Windows 7 but not on Windows XP clients. Searching on the internet gives me a hint that it can be a problem with "security = ADS". The Samba server is member of a windows 2003 R2 Domain, and the Unix user info (uid, gid) are stored on the domain in der RFC 2302
